It came up in conversation with a friend this afternoon. I always thought you couldn't, that it would go off - am I wrong?
You can't soak haylage, can you?

I'm sure you can, sometimes my friend soaks hers if she's got a dry bale because her horse wont eat it otherwise.

I know a few who soak haylage, often you get quite dry bales and a lot of horses just wont touch it like that. As long as its being fed immediately and is only washed rather than stewed for ages it seems to be ok.

Yep, exactly. Fed straight away after either a quick dunk or having ahose run over it.
