Kinda following on from my showing thread "What could I do better?"

I never expected such an awesome response! Not only have I received a huge amount of useful information, I was also given a good few item to help me on my way to a proper outfit for me and Ned!

I'm not an emotional person, but kindness is a huge deal for me and the generosity shown on this site is amazing :)

I will try my very very best to bring home lots of pretty rosettes to show you all :)

This made me smile as I saw your original thread and am quite new to this site and am going through a similar situation myself, so found the info given to you very useful for myself. Good luck and I hope you really enjoy showing your horse. After 4 years of owning mine, I hope to eventually get him to a single show this summer!:D
 
You know, I absolutely loved that thread and was so delighted to see so many people willing to offer you positive and proactive help, support and guidance. Warmed the cockles of my heart it did. Best of luck with your showing endeavours - and I, for one, am so looking forward to seeing pics of you and Ned with many, many frillies and big smiles.

Do you know what, the other thread made me so warm inside. When you first started posting you had a fair few "controversial threads" and to be fair to you instead of getting aggressive like so many people seem to, you took all criticism and took it very constructively. And fair play to you as that thread just shows how much people want to help you improve as you've taken comments on board so well

I hope that makes sense, little tipsy ;)

ETS: And good luck for future shows. Will be interested to see pictures once your "look" has evolved :)
 
I do love a Ned update, so look forward to the next update and hopefully some more red ones (they are his colour so it only makes sense!) :)

Pm me if you're missing anything else, happy to have a dig around in the stacks of stuff I don't use!
 
I feel so proud of Neddy for becoming such a little star! He's never been popular, so knowing you guys all like him is awesome :D I've started to get comments in real life too! I used to get "What's up with his nose" or "He's a bit skinny" but now I get "Isn't he pretty" and "He looks so calm" and other such things ^^

Oh! I made a bracelet out of his hair :D

Aww good luck Ned is lovely! You can give me tips when I embark on some showing with my future as yet undiscovered new horse! I really will not have a clue and am quite apprehensive!!
 
I like posts like this :p I think i'd terrible that many horse people (from what I see at shows anyway) are out to 'stomp on' one another in some way, if that makes sense.. but I suppose you get that in any sport :p horse riders just tend to get a reputation! So it's lovely to see people coming together and helping each other instead. All the best with your horse and look forward to updates :)
 
Awww I really like your "Ned threads", you come across as very genuine and its really obvious how much Ned means to you. Its nice to see how much progress you have made.

Good luck, go round up them rosies! :)
 
Lovely heart warming post. This place can be scary sometimes but it can be wonderful to. Luckly on the whole people have always been kind to me esp with all I went through with Lucy and then taking on Herbs.
I love your Ned updates and I think he's gorgous and it's always clear how much you love him and realy thats all that matters :D (aslong as his basic needs are met, which it's obvious they are :) ).
I hope you have lots of sucess with your showing but most of all I hope you have lots of fun with Ned. I look forward to hearing about all your adventrues together and ofcourse lots and lots of pictures of the lovely lad ;) :D :D
