I was not busy at work and started looking back at some old posts. And it struck me how much support I have had from you lot!
From before the accident were you were giving me lots of advice with Charlie, onto everything to do with the accident and all of your kind words.
aAnd then through to looking for a new horse, reading it now I can hear how frustrated I was. And the help and support I have had from on here was immeasurable.(sp)
All the horses you found me to look at, all the excitement when something looked promising.
I sat reading some of these posts in tears, of sadness within the accident, to crying tears of laughter when reading about a horse to see and some of you getting so excited and 'leaking a little bit of wee!!!' Clipoptenaladypop was a phrase that popped up!
I guess what I am trying to say, we do seem to be coming through the other sidde of all of the angst, grief, anger and frustration, and I wouldnt of got through it without you all.
Just a quick update onto that, we have now been to court, the driver is being charged with dangerous driving, and has got to go to Crown court in front of a judge and jury, but it wont be til next year. The worst part of it was I didnt know who he was. Obviously I didnt really see him a the scene, so the first time i saw him was in court. Unfortunately it has left me with his face in my head now, and my dreams are full of him.

But I am OK. And theres alot of thanks to go to you lot. Each and every one of you.

I may not actually know any of you, but, My God I wouldnt of survived this all without you.

Well done Benson getting this far without falling apart. I hope you are enjoying your new pony. His face will fade in time, just keep kicking on!!

Glad to have helped and hope to continue to do so if needed. As for the 'man', his face will fade with time... just go to bed with happy thoughts about Don pony - you can't go wrong!! (how is the little chap anyway??)

You mean I have got to talk about him!!!!:D:D Ok then!!!:D:D:D
He is gorgeous. He is just so good, he sees me at the gate and he comes cantering over to me. Has started to recognise OH car engine in the morning and neighs before he sees him.
We have our first in hand show next Sunday, so expect loads of pictures! I am hoping to be a very proud mummy!:D:D:D

I only became a more active on here when the format of the board changed which was a short while after your accident but I read up on what an awful, shocking and tragic time you went through.

A couple of message boards are life-lines to me. I moved to Shropshire at the beginning of last year and live quite remotely so I don't know a lot of people yet. The internet stops me feeling lonely so in a way I can understand where you are coming from with some of your comments above.

Sounds like you are healing well, physically AND mentally. Small steps in the right direction, eh?

I remember some of us being really worried you were going to buy a horse which might just have been rather hot to handle when it was a case of mistaken identity.
So pleased you have chosen this route as a way back into horses and my very best wishes for a good experience in your showing venture.

Ooh good luck on Sunday Benson, so glad you are having so much joy with the little man, a very happy ending to such a horrid chain of events you have endured. 3 cheers to everyone on HHO, we're a great community in general and as for 'the face' it will fade and although nothing will put the dreadful events right at least a modicom of justice will be done. You have braved so much - onwards and upwards to all the good times ahead :-)

I'm not sure I was an awful lot of help, but I'm glad to read that you are on the track to happyness with your new ponio. I'm also glad to read that the toerag that caused the accident is getting what's due to him (albeit slowly).

Looking forwards to the pics from Sunday!
