...because tonight I managed to fall off in the most stupid way possible...I fall off quite a lot, usually for no good reason, but even for me this was particularly dense

I checked Murph's girth before mounting, it was definitely tight enough, hopped on from the mouting block (really pleased because he stood still like a good boy!), and decided to walk the 10 feet into the school before checking his girth again.

As Murph was walking through the gate to the school I lent right over to pull to the right it closed behind me....and my girth clearly wasn't tight enough, because the saddle rolled to the right...and so did I...into a heap on the floor!!

Poor Murphy...he really does have to put up with a lot!!

This one's even worse. A certain forum member and I went to try a pony. She (Fiona_C

) said she'd ride first, which she did. Fee claims she was seeing if the pony was bombproof, but in actual fact she went to dismount, left one foot in the stirrup and landed on her backside.

It wouldnt be so bad but she's about 5'8 and the pony was about 13hh!
 
Hahahah well my stupid falls..I did round the world on Willow once and she started bucking when I was on backwards (video here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQISNfeRzBM).

Also once I jumped on Lacey when she was a bit far away form the block, ended up clinging to the side when she ran back into her stable. Sadly the opening of her stable wasn't quite wide enough. I think you can gather the rest but just incase you can't, there was a thud, a scream and heavy bruising and it wasn't Lacey. xD

Urm trying to think of more stupid falls..Well my sister had several hysterical ones. One was when we were on a hack together and Willow started rubbing her head on her until she fell off. You should have seen the bruise! There was the time when Jacob started walking further and further away from the fence when she was leaning over to put her coat on it...And she kept leaning further and further until gravity took over. Finally of course, when she got on and actually fell off the other side, got up and got on, pretending it had never happened and thought no on had noticed until she saw us all sniggering...

Oh I love talking about stupid falls.
 
lol, my funniest falls are. once i got on stan bareback from a wall, swung one leg over him, just as he moved sideways away from the wall, i ended up doing the splits between him and the wall which startled him and i ended up on the floor on my back between the wall and stan!

anouther one was when i was getting ponies in bareback, had taken my hat and gotten on stan, cantered accross the field no problem, then thought i'd be brave and jump the ditch, stan decided to canter upto the ditch, pretend he was going to jump and then stop dead, i slid off over his head and into a rather smelly stagnant ditch. pony looked very pleased with himself though!

had one from anouther pony of mine going through a gate got my jacket caught on the latch as i went past and ended up getting dragged off backwards.

My most embarrassing one was when I was asked to demonstrate bareback riding. The horse took off and I had a cartoon moment - the horse disappeared in front of me and I landed on the floor
