I posted in breeding earlier on today about whether anyone would want elsa on loan to breed from without knowing her breeding.

A few people suggested seeing whether a stud would want her for embryo transfer, someone suggested the Beaufort Polo Centre and hey presto one hour and one phone call later and I am taking her there in March for a new life as a surrogate mum!

I am so so happy that she will be having a useful life and I can keep in touch with her. I felt very tearful after the phone call because I can't imagine not having her near me, but I know it's totally the best thing for her and she will have the life of riley.

If I had never posted I would still be stressing about what to do, HHO can really change your life hehe x

Aww how fab! I will remember this, for when people will inevitably have a "what do I do with my mare..." moment. Dead pleased for you and your girl

if you go on their website it tells you the criteria, i think they pefer native types that can live out and i think 12 is the max age. No stable vices or severe lameness. they were lovely on the phone, very helpful!
