(sound on!) ..."one, two, weeee!"

I can't remember the last time I jumped. Possibly it wasn't even this year. There was a point after my share ended where I thought I might have to give up completely because of being nervous. I never thought I'd get back to this point. Not a single nervous bit all lesson and I genuinely think if my instructor had said to put the jump up I would have gladly given it a go. All the watching of other people's lessons/competing must have osmosis'd it's way into me I think as got good feedback on jump position (including my lower legs, whaaaat!) and making good turns/being straigh to the jumps. Granted we did just do big trot over most of them but we got a few 'pops' over as well. Who cares, it was just so fun and I am so happy!

Flat lesson tomorrow might seem a bit boring now! :D (jokes...)

I hope you do too!

Yes! I'm not the only full grown adult woman who still goes WHEEEE ?? Delighted for you SP'D! This is how it's meant to be!

My instructor knows when I'm nervous because I go quiet. When I'm not nervous I come out with all sorts! :D

Ahh and I just had an absolutely fab hack at the viewing for a share this afternoon. I hadn't been looking but got a message from someone I enquired with last year to say they were looking for a new sharer and was I still interested. Obviously I fell totally in love with the horse, she was such a sweet thing. The owner and others at the yard seemed very friendly and the hacking was just incredible! I felt so safe with the horse we even had a little canter on one of the tracks. Happy happy days!

I won't do a lesson report as I'm already procrastinating enough from thesis work (please...dear lord... make it stop!!) but will share a little clip from today's lesson. Not quite as exciting as the jumping yesterday but really pleased with progress and half an hour with lovely O who looks after me and is just a dream to ride (not too hard to get going but makes me feel totally safe).

I'd quite like to know why I felt like we were really whizzing round at the time but when I watch the video back it looks quite sedate! :D
