You know I said I felt it was meant to be...

Sorry it didn’t work out for you, just wanted to add my two cents. I was unfortunately back on the buying market last year and saw a lot of horses. I set a limit that if it was over half an hour away then I needed unedited videos of it ridden, a video of it trotting up - this saved me a few visits!! - and a proper side on photo with some sort of height guide, if they don’t have a measuring stick then tell them to use a generic jump wing or block! Atleast it’s something.

That said the horse I ended up buying was smaller than I wanted. I asked for 16.1+ as I am quite tall and feel unbalanced on smaller horses. I turned up to see the (now mine) mare and thought gosh she’s small. Almost walked away there and then but something I liked about her despite being finer than normal too. Sat on her and never felt so secure in my life! Turns out human long legs on a finer framed horse makes me feel like WFP! When we got her home she measured at just under 16.1. She’s the complete opposite to my normal type... big ISH, 17hh hunters!

So unless there’s a true weight/height restriction if you like the horse in every other way atleast sit on them as you may surprise yourself.

Was this the 15.2 we spoke about?
No, her kids were ill so I couldn’t get to see him, I’m going Saturday instead....and if you remember they’ve told me he’s 16.3, you thought he looked 15.2. Again, as I told you, I’m a bit concerned he might not be chunky enough but his seller knows me and my horses and knows I want the same sort of size and build so I’m relying on her for that on this occasion. It wasn’t so much the height as the slight build that was the issue with the one I saw yesterday.

You're obviously level headed so either way I'm sure you'll end up with the right horse for you! Hope it goes well.
