you know it's cold when....

Hope your botty is ok, Luci. Been there, done that!![/QUOTE]

well I came off my youngster freaking out at my dog wearing a hi viz coat on Tuesday. Normally he gets over himself quite quickly but not on this hack and was deposited going up a mega steep hill on the way home. Then because I need to get fitter I did my first spin class the following morning (very very early start) and then fell on my a**e the next day... hang on ... I see a theme here. I need to stay in bed till really late and then I will be safe!

Problem is, I now ache in lots of different places and have no idea which bits are aching due to which fall or exercise!

.....your hand gets stuck to the yard gate
.... You slip over onto the frozen ground whilst trying to break the ice on the water trough with your foot
.... You bounce when hitting the above mentioned frozen ground because you have enough cloths on to rival the Michelin man

Yo, all 3 happened to me this morning

Its still relatively warm atm. Two years ago we had a fortnight where the average temp was -12C

Cold weather is making it easier to catch my mini shetland though. If he's cold it must be chilly!

Your 10 yr old asks if he can take a photo of the poo in the field and show the kids at school because it looks like lots of Christmas puddings.

When you put your hairdryer on under your duvet.... [don't mock it! :p :o ]

When you try and figure out how much weight you're losing from shivering....whilst trying everything possible to keep weight on your horse!

Or like last night....you igve up, go down stairs to the front room, use the dog as a hot water bottle and build yourself a fire at 2am in the morning and remain there until a sociable hour in the morning, asleep in said same position.....
