You know that really smug post I did about how perfect Colin was?

He has turned into devil incarnate. He isn’t doing anything wrong, it’s simply that overnight he has acquired more energy than he knows what do with..... I cannot tire him out. You were right, never get a terrier puppy ???

Yesterday we had a small victory after a walk that was much longer than it should have been (tried to carry him, he whinged, wriggled and fidgeted until I put him down again) then endless manic playing with the lurcher when he got home....

Never mind, he'll probably grow out of it ...........

.......... by the time he's 10!:D
That is about right if I remember correctly. Ruby has no off button at all and she is just over a year. I think my last one calmed at around 6 - but she got ill so I think that may had something to do with it:rolleyes:. At least they are not boring!

they never grow out of it as far as I can tell!

awww you are so reassuring parrotperson ???

It is a relief that although his energy is excessive, it still isn’t associated with any negative behaviour at all - he is just being a puppy, he will ‘take a telling’ from the adult dogs when he oversteps the mark and so on. To see him grovelling to my mum’s ‘senior’ male cavalier today (her top stud dog) was hilarious, Colin is nobody’s fool and he knows exactly where he fits in the hierarchy ?

He has one eye open. He's lulling you into a false sense of security!

Oh yes. Always. He had a lovely time systematically emptying my mums bag of dog toys today - so totally endearing the way he would appear from behind the armchair proudly carrying his latest acquisition!

I got home and got out my bag of dog toys for them. Came back 5 minutes later to find them all chewing two completely destroyed tennis balls that were in multiple pieces (quickly removed to the bin!!!!)
