Hiya,
Just out of interest how much do you think this mare is worth?

14.2hh 9yr old Piebald Traditional HW Cob Mare
Very sweet natured, excellent to catch/clip/load/travel with farrier etc. Lives to please. Low mileage as has been used just for driving and hacking for past 4years. Recently attending Fun rides, & XC. Just started to school nicely on the flat.
What do you all reckon?? Sorry i dont have a picture of her on photobucket..

If shes quiet then loads. Some people pay TONNES of money for a traditional HW cob, i personally would be looking to pay £1400 or so for her but the right person might pay up to £3000 or something silly like that!

about £2000. if she had better flatwork then anything up to £4000, traditional cobs can do well in the show ring, depending on her colouring and manners etc etc xxx

Well I would say at least 3000, IF she is good confirmation and you could show her then 5000+. but if she is your every day cob and nothing special then 2000 if quiet and good tempered.
Will you be telling us at the end?

Well ive been hacking her over the winter and just started schooling to show over the summer, Shes a lovely horse very sweet natured and shes soo willing to learn. Her owner has offered me to buy her at a reduced price to me of £2000, although I am looking to buy shes not really what I was looking for and could do with something a little bit bigger. Though saying that im still very tempted as shes never any problem to have around and could be a good show prospect for this year.. what do you think?

you could but her for £2000, show her over the summer (and maybe the summer after as well?) and sell her for £5000+? it depends if thats what you want to do, its always a gamble! xx

That was another of my thoughts to sell her on after shes got a few shows on her back, or show her this summer/winter then come spring put her to maybe a TB to breed something bigger for me long term..

Now that would be a cracking outcome! Do it this year!!!!!!

Obviously you will never sell her and she would need to be given away, for free, to me....will be sending a lorry

She is just my cuppa tea.

In all honesty if she is 100% under sadle and good for nervous/novice I would say £3000 ish.

She is coloured, popular height and possibly what mums are looking for as a first pony for thei children.

There are some wonderful TB stallions around. Sally F stands two - High Tension being my particular favourite. Amy went to a 3/4 bred coloured stallion, but the same stud has three TB's, No Submission, Prince of Darkness and Hot Weld. We have a No Submission baby on the yard born last year and he is just beautiful.

Krisinsky is also a good stamp of horse - although I'm not sure where he is standing now. Again we have a couple of his. Loan horse from last year is by him. Big, big mare. Lovely temperament though and very straightforward.

The list is endless. How much time have you got????
