When you thank any passing vehicle when you are walking down a path next to a road! I have an obscene amount of leather/ whips/ bits/ spurs distributed round my room (ooerr) my airing cupboard is filled with helmets/ brushing boots/ exercise sheets to dry them after raining. You clean your tack in the staff room on your lunch break- and my horses get top of the range food and I ration myself so they can do so! Haha, love so many of these!
 
When I school my mare when she collects or extends she has a tendency to drop it so I got into the habit of saying 'keep it' over and over to which she responds very well.

Last night in bed with OH at a certain point when I was shall I say getting close I yelled the words 'keep it, keep it' lol made myself laugh after but he had no idea what I was going on about
 
I'm crying with laughter at some of these ;D

We'd mucked out the other day then gone shopping - the self checkout kept messing up & the poor girl held her nose every time she came near us to fix it! You know you're horsey when you don't care that you stink of p***

I have on occassion, said 'back' to my OH, then told him he was a good boy. He wasn't impressed.

When you drive past a full up skip at the side of the road and you expect the car to spook.
When you poke one of your junior directors in the ribs in a Board Meeting and say 'Over' when they are hogging the biscuits and you want them out of the way.
When you take your Filofax out of your brief case and its full of straw - even though its been nowhere near the horses.
When your staff tell you to clean your car out before they will go with you on a business trip and you are driving.
When your business suit has horse hair on it, and you NEVER wear that suit at the yard.
When your business credit card bill looks like a list of local tack shops ........... (I got into big trouble with my business partner and accountant over that, but god it was fun).
 
I work in a men's prison, our office is cleaned by a prisoner, one day he said "Miss, do you live on a farm?" as there is often mud under my chair!

I took some of the lads outside for a smoke break, put my hands in my pockets & found some horse treats, so I offered them round, one acted like I was offering him poison, one took one & declared that it was quite nice, the others politely declined.

I also look out of the train windows & imagine galluping across the fields jumping the hedges.
 
I forgot about this :p I have got worse, I do most of the things on this thread haha. Especially the clicking at things and thinking about things that are pontentially scary. Also seeing random logs or banks or anything and thinking it'd make a good jump. I think i am getting crazier.... oh well :D
 
Not sure whether this is horsey or just mental really but was in a rush for work this morning and after ive been doing a lot of groundwork with my youngster lately so lots of 'good boys' and 'good fellas' coming from my mouth, found myself jumping out of car to open gate, pulled car foward got out closed gate and just as i closed it on the latch patted the top and said 'good boy'! :rolleyes:i even actually hesitated and looked around hoping to god no one saw me :o please feel free to lock me up now - think its a sure sign ive spent too long around horse and not enough time around humans!!
