you know you've found a good'un when.......

Oh, my heart was in my mouth and its not even my child!

Were you waiting for something to happen? You know, you want to believe things will be okay (and thankfully they were) but are just waiting for things to go wrong? Call me pessamistic but ...

My little girl had a bad fall from a 'bombproof' pony she was trialling and I doubt if she will ever ride, not to fulfil the potential she had before it happened anyway and I am heartbroken.

its so hard when it is your own child. he's so keen and wants to do it all himself. its only the second time he's ridden our new pony! i've had him a month and waited this long to get to know him before i let the kids near him!! i try to remind myself i was 10 once and all i wanted to do was go off charging about and having fun. i have non-horsey parents, but now i know why it took me about 2 yrs to persude them to let me have lessons!!! i know he'll have a fall one day, it happens to us all. my friend's 10 yr old daughter broke her arm last week in a fall. but i guess we cant wrap them up forever. eeeek!

Yeah and let your novice child do that and soon.....
you will have no pony as said child will have stolen your pony for his very own!
We did worse as novice kids and at the end of the day everyone falls off. Looks like he potential........

How lovely to see!!

My Mum is horsey and when we were all younger she was super duper safe - But never stopped the fun. Fantastic.

What an honest little pony ! I bet your son and that pony will have a TON of fun together.

My daughter desperately wants to come off the leadrein, and learn to canter and jump - i shall NOT be showing her this video
