Problem was the person I said this too isn't horsey - and maybe isn't the most switched on - and soooo didn't get it....
 
I very often call people "lame"...if someone is walking down the street or a footballer on tv or something (don't even know what you're meant to say if you're not referring to a horse!!)

Hold any bags like I am holding the reins to a double bridle/pelham.

Pat OH and say good lad to him like I do the horse and he gets all huffy.

Say Whoa to the cat as she motorbikes around the house.
Click at the cat

Have assumed jumping position in jeep going over speed bumps
