Having been on the phone for three quarters of an hour setting up a new policy for my little pony I find that if you insure your horse for vet's fees and disposal in the event that your horse has an illness that results in pts the insurance company will pay for all vet's fee during the treatment of the illness and will pay a sum towards the disposal of the body but will not pay for the vet's time, injection fee and cost of drugs to actually do the deed.
That's with PetPlan, the agent couldn't tell me whether it's the same across all companies but it's certainly something I'd never considered before.
So that's my new thing I've learnt today!
