massive LOL @ trainer....was a toss up between hot pink or neon yellow and I knew i'd get some abuse either way!!!!

was a very good boy, told trainer about plan to try AM85 and he said to go for it.....so did a fair bit of work on the changes today, left to right is always perfect, wherever, whenever, right to left will go early behind if im not 101% perfect in my timing, or he is isnt totally straight, so did some from counter canter to true canter down long side, and then a few from HP, straighten, change.

he understands the aids, and tries very hard, and we both feel its a strength issue, but for a 6yo they are pretty secure and get better the sharper you get him, so perversely tempi's actually get them better, where as most horses get worse down a line of changes if it isnt perfect to start!!!!

played with the trot and canter HP which are both pretty even to both reins now, and just -need more bend to go up a mark. the canter HP is again a strength issue, when he can carry a bit more sit and push through the HP, marks will go up, at moment he can do bend and sideways but not with enough flair for more than a 6. so keep plugging away, playing with the canter P's too as that really helps get him quicker and more sitting.

Nice :).

Great to see you with your hat on :D, is that because of last weeks shenanigans (you have seen the light) or is it because you were at your trainers :)?

Hmm, pink on a boy , the jury's out on that one!!!

awww the last pic is stunning....maybe if he looks like a milkshake you should do dressage to music and play 'my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard' hahahhahaha I dare you! :)

Love him in pink! We need to do a CS/pink & Bruce/pink duo photoshoot when I'm back. Deal?!

He looks awesome, and like he's concentrating very hard for you. Hard work from you seems to be paying off with each set of photos.

Super excited for AM debut. No cheerleader antics from CS though please!!

Loving the pink :D

You both look fab as always, he gets better and stronger looking every time you post :)

thank you :)
its a shame david bailey aka mum didnt get many trot HP pics as thats feeling much more fluent and supple.

Hat-sorry to disappoint.....iv ridden Bru and CS at home all week without, ridden 3 client horses without. I did put one on to jump on sat, and have ridden one sharp **** today in a hat.
it isnt totally unusual for him to do it at a show, but he doesnt do it at home, so pas de problem :)

we also have a *council worker orange* set!!!!!!

I just spat my drink all over the laptop laughing at that!

I can't believe he's an ex-racer. Or even a TB come to that, he looks so built, more like a WB. He is just fantastic!! I didn't realise he was only 6?? 6 and doing his first AM, that's brilliant, unless you were talking about another horse.

I am love, love, loving the pink! OMG- Sudden realisation. I am getting a new horse on the 30th and he's a TB Ex-racer who's very similar to your CS (only diddier as he's only 15.2 :D) I am SO getting that exact same anky set for him. Arghhh, so excited :D

yes, he was 6 at the beginning of May :)

to be fair AM85 is a VERY friendly AM, just a sweet medium with a change each way at the end.

we had a little jump on sat, and considering he barely jumps, he ended up popping a course of 5 jumps, all with fillers, and a water tray, at 1.05m. he's such a genuine boy :)
