massive LOL @ trainer....was a toss up between hot pink or neon yellow and I knew i'd get some abuse either way!!!!
was a very good boy, told trainer about plan to try AM85 and he said to go for it.....so did a fair bit of work on the changes today, left to right is always perfect, wherever, whenever, right to left will go early behind if im not 101% perfect in my timing, or he is isnt totally straight, so did some from counter canter to true canter down long side, and then a few from HP, straighten, change.
he understands the aids, and tries very hard, and we both feel its a strength issue, but for a 6yo they are pretty secure and get better the sharper you get him, so perversely tempi's actually get them better, where as most horses get worse down a line of changes if it isnt perfect to start!!!!
played with the trot and canter HP which are both pretty even to both reins now, and just -need more bend to go up a mark. the canter HP is again a strength issue, when he can carry a bit more sit and push through the HP, marks will go up, at moment he can do bend and sideways but not with enough flair for more than a 6. so keep plugging away, playing with the canter P's too as that really helps get him quicker and more sitting.
