Anyone else having a go[worried ]he gets great marks in dressage but don't think that is what they are looking for

I think you have just got to do it and see!! What are they looking for?? I would think the german training tree comes to mind which I believe is a good solid foundation for training any horse what ever discipline you are aiming for; forward, contact, rhythmn and balance, etc.... good luck !

My horse did them last year as a 6 year old - and he is full thoroughbred. He did really well, beat plenty of warmbloods - good luck!

You just go for it!! Whether you are a pro or not, mare or gelding.. getting 70% you are surely not going to look silly!!! Believe in yourself and your beasty!! Good Luck and keep us posted...

I would say that the National classes less high powered than the International ones, as it was a simpler test. And yes, there were plenty of professionals, but not everyone. And the nice thing was that they were marking potential, so a horse with good movement could score well on his paces, withour being hammered for accuracy or the odd blip...
