I was right to worry most of the other competitors were on very grand looking horses and alot were stallions. It was a strange class it was split into two groups you led your horse around then you were called in individually to have confirmation checked and run up in trot. In our group the judge missed out two horses and the owners had to point out that their horses had not been looked at and the judge didn't seem to check confirmation for long. One horse dished like mad and got great marks another had really swollen[filled] back legs
Then you had to do a freestyle test it was not judged as normal as some horses that were disobedient got good submission marks it was very strange but it was nice to see such lovely horses [I never see them at dressage competitions like that ]
Well I was pleased with my chap he did an accurate and correct test as he always does, but it was not what they were looking for at all today ,he gets great marks in aff. dressage 76.5% being his best but he is not flashy. It will be interesting to see how these horses progress.
But as I said alot were beautiful and it was lovely to see them
