A certain person who posted asking to for advice and help did VERY well in the yearling class today - she WON!!! I am sure she will be posting in the fullness of time.

I went too and we got 5th - I was thrilled. She got . . ahem . . . quite excited and jumped about a bit but hey she's only a baby and never been out before!

forester, brilliant to meet up today, and to exchange hugs!! Both Fionn and I thought that your girl was lovely, and she definitely settled down when your son stepped in ... might just be a question of who they know? And fillies do tend to have very definite opinions about what should/should not be happening! Congratulations all round, a great day, and the stewards and all concerned (apart from the cock-up over the marking additions) were just lovely, very helpful and chilled ... So sorry that we didn't get to say goodbye, but given that the lad was screaming from the lorry, we thought that we should make a quick getaway!!!

Hope to see you at the next event

Absolutely brilliant - well done both of you!

We came 6th in the 2yr olds. 5 hour trip (2hrs stuck on M5 so arrived 10mins beforehand

), big fetlock on arrival, bored, fed up (small) filly generally and frazzled me didn't stand us in good sted! V fair result for us as she's not as good this year but also a little disappointing when she was 2nd last year. But that's showing - different judges, growing phases etc:(

Anyway I did hear the yearling result mix up though - same thing happened last year in the yearling class. Dovedale Bright Spark went from last to first and the wrongly placed first to last. Awful!
