Young Foal Has a Big Fat Leg - Help

As the title says really. My cob x foal has a fat leg from his fetlock to halfway up to his hock. Theres no heat in it at all and he's not lame.

Any ideas?

Vet - it could be something or nothing but in young foals you need to know which it is and exactly what you are dealing with asap. They respond very quickly if you get them early.

Yes. Call a vet. Big fat leg in foal doesn't sound good. it could 'just' be an infection or it could be something more serious. needs treatment whatever the case.

It's possible Mum may have trodden on him by mistake, of course. Get it checked by a Vet and let us know the outcome!
