Hi,
So I only really found out that today that horses around 2 years have their 'caps' fall out.. Can some one give me more of an insight of what kind procedure it is?
If you have a young horse, do you need to have them removed when the appropriate time comes, or do they just fall out naturally.
Is it common for them to cause problems, or is it just like when a young child has wobbly teeth? (Pretty painless, right??)
Thanks in advance.

They just fall out. I took a pic of my 4yo geldings teeth one day, the next he had two teeth gone and i panicked and called the vet who said its normal lol

They should just naturally come out, but like our baby teeth coming out they can sometimes get stuck or have a long bit fleshy root and need some help from the dentist or they'll collect rotten food and stop them eating.
