Young Lurcher - how to rehome?

After thinking about it and talking to my OH, shes coming to live with us 😁 😁

She’s lovely. Not normally my cup of tea Lurcher-wise but since I’ve owned a GSD x I’m more attracted to these black & tans (and a certain amount of intelligence that comes with them😀) I was looking at Doberman x Greyhounds ages ago - wow, handsome dogs.

I'd guess a bit of saluki in there? My saluki lurcher was an absolute delight. A trifle independent on occasion but loving and loyal.
Maybe. The eyes aren’t doing it for me, Saluki-wise😀Breeders feed you such BS re breeding it’s a bit a guessing game with lurchers. But a lovely dog is still a lovely dog, no matter the breeding and she looks great fun & bright as a button!

Well a huntaway cross will be a damn sight easier to train than a saluki! :-)

Me too! I should’ve enquired more, I think I would’ve be tempted!😀

Aw. Loving knowledgeable homes. What is there not to love.

Friend seems almost equally happy and sad. I believe the happy is winning as she knows she's not the right set- up for the lass.

And that takes balls to admit you’re not the right owner for the dog. She’s done the best thing for the pup.🙂

Yes, young Lurcher pups can be so indistinct apart from coat clues & knowing the parents. Ahh, I’m starting to kick myself MrsM!

Sorry! Life does some odd things that's for sure. I've been wishing my set-up was more amenable as she certainly does make an excellent hot water bottle, but it's not, so helping find her a good spot was all I could do.

I doubt she is. I just had a look at them. They are much bigger and noisier, very different heads as well. She reminds me a bit of my old bitch. She was some sort of collie/whippet/saluki. Much more level headed than the whippets and more reserved. It doesnt really matter. Nothing on earth would convince me to have a straight saulki though!

I agree with you. A huntaway x grey would be HUGE. Unless she is! :) (huge that is).
