Took the new mare to her first show. She has had a steep learning curve in the past two months having been backed and ridden away. Due to sciatica no chance of practicing ring craft but she is a smart wee lass and remembered it from when she was shown as a youngster. We did the large M&M in hand any age. Ten forward several have been very successful in the past so was delighted to get pulled in second. Struggled a bit to really run her out as my leg wasn't cooperating. Final lineup was first a fell who has been very successful this year and then us, we beat a pony who won at RHS so very happy. Handed her over to young friend for Championship so she could be seen to really move and oh heck that girl can shift. Got nothing in champ. but not disappointed. Rode her after, she is still buzzy and to forward going in strange places but it is improving. Now only two weeks till our first novice class if I think we are ready.
