Youngster has turned into a maniac

She is as strong as an ox. She has boundless energy and at the moment it is her way or no way.
Well you know what they say" god loves a trier" so we will continue with the battle.

I've been there! It does get easier and now I can hardly remember those days but gosh it was hard work. I wouldn't swap my super star mare for anything now though :)

Feed hay only and then walking exercise and more walking and walking and then a bit more walking .
Then a bit of schooling, long reining , do pole work if you have cones build exercises using them in the school to keep interest and make things different .
I would work twice a day if there's no turnout and walk out in hand to keep her day busy .
Very time consuming having a horse of this age with no turn out .

poor horse not having any outlet to let out any energy and then getting told off/mixed messages when being ridden. Personally I've move her to winter turnout and let her be a young horse-it will make a much nicer horse in the end who doesn't learn multiple bad habits.
