Youngster needing extra feed?

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum so ill give you a little update on my horsey ill be posting about
Hes a 14 month old colt cob called Frankie



Any way my post is about feed, Frankie is going to be turned out 24/7 obviously with supply of grass and hayledge when the grass goes, will he need any extra feed as he's a youngster??
Frankie is my first youngster and its a constant learning curver for both of us any advice given would be great !

Hi there

My advice would be to call one of the feed manufacturers and speak to a nutritionist as they really are the experts here - or have a look at their web sites.

Saracen were great with me, or try one of the others like Baileys.

Awsome thanks, the problem im having is i dont know his weight or the amount he eats a day lol, as he is just turned out so hes grazing all day... do you think if i rung them they would be able to help me more than the website???
