First time aboard after 2 days of long reining. I must admit i did feel rather tall on her and was initially worried she would be too small for me. I am 5ft10 and she is 14.3hh

A few more random days of long reining, quite few and far between, so this was about end april - 3rd sit on with stirrups.
Mum - why is your leg there?!!??

Recently - about 10 days ago, now working alone in our field with no facilities due to it only being her and my yearling in the field. I didnt want to take her to the local yard and leave the yearling to go nuts so started working in the field.

More long reining

Getting on again this time on my own with no help, (after a few long reining sessions) did lots of work standing next to the block and not moving until i told her too.
Being patient and a few strokes. poor piccie as recorded on camera which was propped on a brick

(OH took it) was hoping to get more but left the sim card at home and only had space for 2 pics! plus it started to get really windy and then it rained  very odd weather today.
We had our first spook today as the wind got up at one point and she could see something in the distance. Spook consisted off a jolt forward and a bit too the side. Nothing atall horrible and soon settled after strokes. Decided to finish on a good note so did another walk circuit and left it at that.

We still have a few stuck moments where she stands there and gets slightly confused but where getting there.
having a friends pony next week come to stay so he can keep yearling company so i can get her up to the yard again and hacking out :)

looks as though you're doing a lovely job with her :) and you don't look to tall for her. hope she continues being a good girl xx

Thank you everyone for your kind comments :)

She has been an absolute pleasure so far, planning our first proper small hack next week with a friend to walk out with us for the first good few times.
:D

Aww shes lovely!! Makes me all excited to start my 4 y/o now, just waiting for dentist and were all set to go!

The only reason you look tall is because youve got no stirrups, and anyways you are made of nothing so your definitly not to big!!

How old is she? Its lovely bringing on a youngster isnt it!

She's gorgeous! You look like you've done a fab job with her so far, good luck with your first hack out, i'm sure you'll have a great time. Keep us posted!
