Pointless post, but just wanted to express my pride in a youngster I bred from our broodmare. She's 3 this year, & we sold her earlier this year to a lovely new mum who will take her eventing. To broaden her experience she's taken her inhand to some shows. First time out she won her youngstock class. Second show she won youngstock, & was second in the sport horse (any age) class to an 8 yr old dressage horse (who had a lot more muscle), qualifying for trailblazers second round. Found out today that she won her second round class so is now going to the finals. This girl (by Catherston Dazzler, in my avatar as yearling) is bred in the purple for eventing, with her maternal older half sister showing so much potential over fences the vet we sold her to has loaned her dam this year to send her back to the same stallion (Tinsley Faerie Legend), to try & get another of the same quality so her daughter has a team of two siblings to bring on. Found out yesterday she is confirmed in foal.

Both were out of our Kiltealy Spring mare, who we bought for £200 aged 6, as she was being retired from eventing as they found she'd picked up an injury as a youngster that interferred with her in the sj phase when they evented her. A vet happened to be at the yard & mentioned a mare that would likely be pts as the owner wanted to find a home where she could be used as a broodmare & never jumped because of her injury. She would have pts rather than risk the mare being ridden & in pain. We took her in, & she has gifted us back with these 2 wonderful ladies. Can't wait to see them eventing in next couple of years.:D:D A big bonus of another William baby being born at home next year as well!

So proud of the girls & their wonderful new owners.:o
