My TBx measured 5ft1 at three so I did the decent thing and bought her 5'9" rugs for her to grow into (they were on sale). She very kindly stopped growing at 6ft

Being a nice Mummy I bought her 6ft ones, however she has now decided age 7 isn't a good time to stop growing and now needs 6'3.... I'm being horrid mummy and letting her bum stick out of them

I'll buy her a new wardrobe when she settles on what size she wants to be

PS - if anyone is looking for 5'9" rugs....

Well mine isn't a youngster but I bought him when he was 6, he measured 16"1 1/2 and was in 6.3 rugs. He will be 8 this month and is now 17hh and now needs 6"9 rugs and had to have a new tree put in an Albion saddle that wasn't even 6 months old. Oh he went from a wide to a medium

. So if anyone has any 6"9 rugs that they want to sell pm me please.

Give it another year and your Shire x TB will be 17.3hh

Friend has a Shire x mare. (more Shire than whatever it's crossed with!)

She was 15.3hh at 4yrs and 16.3hh at 5yrs old. Now she's 16.3hh wide as well at 10yrs old, and boy, when she bucks, do you feel it !!

By then he'll be a BIG hairy monster and you'll have to stand on a stool to put his 8ft rug on!!

Oh my Devil - do you mean that, as well as growing, my two girls are going to morph into boys too?
