your Achievements and goals 2009/2010

Ok so we are nearly at the end of the year, so what have we all achieved this year either horsey or otherwise

and what are our goals for next year?

mine achievements this year are:-

- Passed my driving test first time
- jumped 1 metre with my mare
- with the help of my lovely farrier we got my gelding sound and i have competed him in our first dressage, showjumping and gymkanna at the grand age of 17
- got a clear round with my mare

and my goals for next year are:-

- to affliate my mare
- to compete my gelding at novice dressage
- if i achieve the above i would love to get a double clear with her.
- to do some XC
- Get a job (i have been trying all year with no luck)

My achievements this year:

- Took over more control of my horses care on a new yard.
- Bought a trailer (only got it Friday) and can begin to look forward to going out
- Shook of a few problems and can begin to do what I like.
- Sad as this sounds at the age of 24 went on the first holiday without the parents

My goals for 2010

- Do a dressage test
- Go for XC training
- Go to the beach
-Start looking at training courses to complement my employment

My Achievements this year:
-Went XC schooling and did our first HT
-Started hacking out
-Got to University

My Goals for 2010:
-Move Frenchie up to University
-Get out and about more and get placed at a HT and SJ
-Progress our flatwork so we can ride a semi-decent dressage test
-Do an ODE

-Go to the beach

Achievements:

- won a dressage test
- got over 65% in a dressage test
- went SJ
- brought a horse back into work after time off ( with a little help!)
- hacked out with my horse leading ( notorious wuss)
- sent my mare to stud, and now shes in foal. tho i guess thats more of the stallions achievements and the brill stud she went to! But its a new experience for me so a big learning curve to come.

Goals for 2010
- do a novice test
- crack flying changes and travers
- stay sound all year!
- have a safe and healthy birth of foal, with healthy mum too.

My achievements:
-Took Missy to ODE's with no SJ faults at any
-Compete Missy at Novice Dressage
-School Missy over 3'6 at home
-Compete PC dressage teams
-Get George jumping
-Work on Prince's dressage, coming 2nd last weekend being beaten by the last horse to go

-Sell both my boys before christmas and get a new one

My Goals:
-Take Lacey XC
-Represent PC/RC Teams
-Take Lacey hunting
-Consistently do well in Prelim/Novice dressage classes
- and most importantly enjoy my time with horses

Acheivements:
-Found my gorgeous coloured boy the perfect home

-Getting my new 4yr old hacking out on her own (that'll be the kiss of death to that!)
- 4yr old winning and being placed both times jumping indoors, being her first time ever being indoors

Goals:
Get said 4yr old out competing BE
Compete and complete some 5yr old BE classes.
Jump successfully BSJA with her.
Keep her sound and happy, and have fun with her and my horsey friends as we will all have fab seasons next year

Goals for next year....
Assuming I can stabilise him permanently over the winter...then my goal for next year is to prevent laminitis coming back in my lad...end of!

Goals for this year:

-get another horse in place (or my own back from loan) so that I can ride every day again! (have thoroughly missed it :'( ) [any offers for around Feb are greatly received - about 16.3, 5/6yo please

-do something good with new said pony or original one
-start my new job in 2010!!! (eeek!!!)
-think about moving house
-lose some lb's & continue toning up! (actually going ok so far I should have that as an achievement!)

well ticked off the list for 09-

broke 70% barrier 3 times at prelim with the 6 year old.(+got 69% twice!!)
did her 1st novice and got over 62% with 6 year old
competed affil prelim open with 6 year old and didnt come last!haha
all stayed healthy.
19year old lami free for 3rd year running

bought a horsebox and called her Bessie.
managed to go to gym 1xweek for swimming
staying vaguely on target for the clincal diploma
managed not to buy any more horses or ponies!

2010-
get the 6 year old getting 65% plus(pref 67% plus) at novice, do an elem test before end of year.
compete trailerblazers champs with 6yo.(missed out by 1% this year)
affiliate novice by end of year with 6yo.
do at least 2 DTM/freestyle novice tests on 6 year old and pref an elem one too.....
back the 4 year old and take her inhand showing and a few quiet dressage comps- WT/prelims/novice but will have to see how she goes!
go SJ with the 6 year old, also a few hunts and fun rides and RC camp would be nice
take the 19year old in hand showing (she will be 20 by then) and take her on hols across wales.
stave off lami again this year with the 19year old.
get the diploma done and pass the darn thing
get a band 7 job yay!
go to gym 2x week
keep em all sound n healthy!

Achievements:
- Got over 70% in a Walk/Trot dressage test
- Got over 65% in a Prelim dressage test
- Did our first showjumping competition
- Got my jumping confidence up
- Did a 2'6 hunter trial and went clear - three times!
- Reserve Champ at a show
- Qualified for Royal London
- Got a horsebox

- Had lots and lots of fun!

Goals for 2010:
- Get fitter (as always!)
- Become more consistent at Prelim
- Do a 2'6 showjumping class
- Win one showing class
- Get madam more off of the forehand
- Go to Riding Club Camp
- Have more and more fun!

Acheivements for 2009
Got Married
Made good progress with my jumping, on not straight-forward horses and feeling more confident
Didn't compete much this year due to saving and preparing for the wedding but managed a placing WH and SJ
Made the massive decision with my new husband to buy our first horse

Goals for 2010
Buy our first horse
Get schooling and hacking outside the riding school
Try our first competition on our own horse*
Try hunting for the first time*
Start BHS stages
Grow hubby's business so that it is providing a steady income


*(Not sure we'll manage those two but it doesn't hurt to aim high)

Achievements for 2009:

Did first show with each of the mares
Son did first show with pony
Broke shetland to drive
started jumping green 12 yo
got own yard
built 4 stable / shelters totally by hand with scrap wood
horses got decent grass for first time in 2 years!

Goals for 2010

build xc jumps in fields
get green mare going xc
aim for fun ht or ode with above!
get mentally damaged mare over a jump (working for 2 years to do this) because she wants to!
get all 4 fit
go driving lots
have loads of fun, competitions a bonus!
Buy a new motorbike!!!!!!!!!!!!
Successful progression to senior school for my boy! (Yikes)

There are probably many more, but these are all I could think of for now!!!!!!!!!!

B*gger all, horse went lame at the start of the show season, got back to full fitness and is now lame again!
Found a rider for the small ginger pony
Took the SGP out to some in-hand shows
Competed in my first dressage test for 8 years

2010
Get broken horse fit, out competing and tackle the dreaded canter
Keep both sound and healthy
Improve my riding
Start jumping again

competed in our first ridden showing classes and bringing home some ribbons
Entered our first dressage test
Had a go at jumping which I loved!
Entered clear round and got a clear round
Moved yards to somewhere 100% better and hacking distance to RC
Started having weekly lessons

Aims 2010
Continue with lessons to improve our schooling and flatwork
Get a good canter going nice and controlled not flat out!
Enter RC showjumping 2'3 classes (aiming high! he he)
Do some endurance riding
Get out to more shows
Go XC schooling
HAVE AS MUCH FUN AS I'VE HAD THIS YEAR!

Yes I'm aware my achievements for this year are the same things I want to change next year, but I have seriously missed my home comforts recently, and really want to get back into riding.
