What do you think have been your best horse related bargains this year?

I just got Hippo a light weight turnout rug from Amazon for under £30 - am very pleased, as it means she can be out 24/7 instead of my having to keep her in on very wet days/nights:D Oddly, certain colours of the same rug were more expensive than others!

I should not enjoy shopping for rugs so much...:o

Heavy weight Masta for £40 brand new :)

Jodphurs from fasttackdirect £22 for 2 pairs inc delivery!!!

Thermometer, stethoscope, forceps, tweezers and shears for £12 off ebay, all new.

Bargain hunter :D

Oh and free brushing boots from a friend :p

A pair of Ariat Windermere long boots for £89 instead of £149 at Ride-Away's Jubilee sale weekend. I'm really pleased with that one cos I had been wanting a pair.

Oh what make is the turnout. Although I don't need more rugs, I don't need more rugs,
I don't need more rugs...

Snowdrop - the turnout is by Sherwood: no filling but waterproof. And can be reproofed by handy OH if need be:D He's already planning on reproofing her current rugs...here's hoping the washing machine survives!

Of course you neeeeeeed more ruuuuuuuggggggssss!:p Mwa-ha-ha!

.

I bow down to this! Paid full price for mine at Bramham, needed to wait for the wide fit to come out and be in stock!

Thanks Arizahn, I might just have a small peek on Amazon! :D

Batgirl, I looked on all the stands at Bramham and only saw them full price. I felt horribly smug, I must admit! :D I walked the whole XC course in them and they were so comfy and it was only the second time I had worn them, so I love them even more. I was lucky though, I just fit the normal width ones.

I'm another ariat Windermere boots for £89 but mine were from Robinsons. Was boot hunting for my birthday. There was only 1 pair left and they were in my size so it was fate :)

My pony!

Paid £750 for her with a full set of leather tack, full compliment of brand new rugs (fleece, stable, lightweight, medium weight and heavy weight) and other bits and pieces. Bought her unbacked and she is going to be an absolute star! Free Jumps 4'6 foot, moves beautifully and she has an amazing personality :O)

£120 for a pair of Ariat bromonts; £100 for an ideal saddle in fab condition...only thing is i've spent too much on 'bargains'!

(not within the last year - roughly 2 years ago...)

Paid around £50.00 for 3 rugs from Derby House Saddlery
1 x fleece
1 x lightweight turnout
1 x mediumweight turnout with neck

BUT even better:
instead of sending me all Derby House make of rugs, they sent me a thick, luxurious KP fleece and also a KP lightweight turnout (so only the M/W T/O was derby house made)

I wouldn't have chosen the KP's myself - but I have to say they're excellent quality and I still think this was a huge, huge bargain!

Quite pleased with my Fal Chieftain heavyweight for £50 on ebay.

My main bargain was my tweed hacking jacket, again from ebay. It was secondhand and looked pretty awful in the photo, creased and out of focus so no-one else bid on it. I was in two minds whether to bid on it, and got it for £16 including postage. Arrived here and it looks fab, sent it to the dry cleaners for a spruce for £5 :)

I have just taken on a cracking advanced endurance mare from a friend, on full permanent loan, with tack and rugs (beautiful endurance saddle!), just had her feet done, wormed, teeth, jabs etc all up to date, registered with Endurance GB for a year, AND my friend wants to continue paying for her insurance!! Friend wants to concentrate on her younger horse, this mare is 16 but 100% raring to go pocket rocket!!
Cost to me? £0 so far :D Couldn't say no really!

A Rhino stable rug heavy weight for £35! Also bought a DH bridle yesterday reduced from £65 to £25 but it hasnt arrived yet.
Also a saddle bag / carry bag i bought on ebay last week, a new design that hangs up as well, for only £35.

Been shopping too much this month!

Mine would have to be a Harry hall show jacket for my eldest
Which was a £5 brand new from second hand shop
Also a nummah which was £2 and brand new
I'm not usually lucky on second hand shops for horsey gear so thought I snap them up

P,s it was only down to my friend that saw a bit ,that she thought was handcuffs That I found these

My horse robbie Bargain ;):D
