Ok, another question!

Do you still have your first pony?
If yes, how long have you had him/her for?
Also, how old is he/she now?
And what height and breed is he/she??

My first pony (what I class as my first pony, as the one before I only had for a month), I still own her, she has been with me for 8 years, she's 16 years old now and she's a 13.2hh welsh x fell pony!
 
I still have my first pony, a yakut who is about 14hh.
I think we've had her for 12 years? Maybe longer, but have not idea how old she is now. She alway was a pain in the back side, and probably always will be! :D

12, got him for my daughter as a 5yo when she was 11-all of us utterly green!

He's 13.1 Welsh Section B (unregistered) she still rides him though not often. He has a lovely sharer.

Do you still have your first pony? No. I had to sell her about 2 years after I bought her

Also, how old is he/she now? I found out recently that she died about 6 years ago and I reckon she'd have been about 30 y/o

And what height and breed is he/she?? she was a 15hh allegedly Connemara x Thoroughbred

We are currently not speaking because I moved yards yesterday and he spent today breaking out. Twice I saw him cantering off over the horizon and had to go and get him. He may be my special pony but he is also a git :)
 
Yes I still have my first pony. I've had him for five years and he's 11 now. He's a 14.2 hh appaloosa x cob and these days we mainly enjoy hacking and hunting together! I couldn't ever sell him - I love him too much. :)
 
Do I still have him? Heavens no, he was 15 when we had him, which would make him almost 60 now:D

He did the rounds of the village after we sold him, taught a lot of kids how to ride over the years.

Nope.
Had him 15 years I think from me being 7 years old.

12h blue roan (NFx ?) total git, bought as a 13 year old, was told by our instructor he was closer to 30 :eek: We were your typical first time buyers, but he was only £200 :)
He stayed with us the whole time, but was loaned out to other local girls from our stables. he enjoyed running off with them on many occasions. :D

He lived out his long retirement with his old blue cross rescue horse and donkey friends (36 and unknown respectively).
They all died/PTS within 3 months of each other, the way I knew it would go, as they had been together for that 15 years :)

Wow, some lovely stories there! R.I.P. to all those first ponies who are no longer here, and a big 'keep going strong!' to the others which are still here today :D! Thankyou for sharing everyone, it's nice to hear about other peoples first ponies (or horses for that matter) :)

Thanks, I just adore her. I am very lucky and still hack her out at least twice a week, we have to go steady with her foot but she is still full of life, hope it continues for a while yet :D

Yep, still have mine.

Bought him 21yrs ago when he was around 10ish.... came from Beeston Sale. 13.3 skewbald who is now enjoying his retirement in the welsh mountains with my sister. Superstar!! He'll be 31 in April!
