How tall are you and how big is the horse you normally ride?

At 5'3" I struggle to get back onto a 15.2hh on a hack - I have to run the leathers down. But that's what I used to have.

I am 5ft 8 and ride every day, I have a 17.2hh and a 16.1hh!

) my horse is 15,3hh but i regularly ride a 16.3 and 17.2 - have also recently ridden a 13.2, so a bit of a hotchpotch!
ETS i can mount all from the ground, but am only 18 so shouldn't be stiff yet!

Im 5ft6 and have a 16.3hh and admit I usually mount from the ground unless I have someone to hold him as he wont stand still if I mount from a block, chair etc.

im 5ft 1" and ride anything from a 14.1hh pony to a 17hh warmblood! (though getting on the WB from the ground is out of the question!)this is why it's great being small though, you can ride them all!

Ooh, i love Dales' lovely ponies. i have grown a LOT since getting my horse, but she is built like a brick outhouse so takes my leg well! i dont mind if i look tall on her, as long as she is happy to carry me.

5 foot nothing and 16hh, feels way to big for my stumpy legs lol.

My old gelding was 14.2/3 and felt just right for me, when I was young and slim (same time as the dinosaurs :lol) I rode anything from 12.2 to 17.2.

If I can get enough weight off I'm planning on riding our welsh c once he's broken

I'm 5'6" and have 15.3hh, 2 x 16hh and 17.2hh, can get on the three small ones from the ground if I really have to (don't like to haul at there backs, so use a stool or mini step-ladder), but not the big lad, although don't ride him anymore.....

I have never actually ridden anything bigger than 16.2hh despite having ridden a lot of horses. my average ride is 14 - 16hh. But I do like the fact that if I have kids and they ever have a 12.2hh pony I will be small enough to school it for them.

i'm 5ft 7 and my horse is 16.3hh. i never try to get on from the ground, i care too much about his back. i can get on a 15.2hh from the ground, but only just. i have hip probs so getting on can be a struggle.

I am 5'2 and my horses are 15.0 and 15.3 and I need a mounting block for both. In my youth I could vault on to horses now in my dotage I have to stand on something. I was always told it was better to for their backs to use a mounting block well thats my excuse and I am sticking to it
