Doing horse tonight when phone beeped with text message. Thinking it was from hubby, who is away on business, I was surprised to see it was from sender with no name but more scary was the message: "Your horse is still hungry........" I'd only be on the yard about 10 mins when message arived and making up feed at the time.

Horse in and no signs of damage. Stables now locked and alarm set but still can't help feeling uneasy.

Any thoughts????

OMG that's awful, why would someone send that, there are some idiots out there.

Oh crumbs I wouldnt be comfortable with that either but could it be someone you are sharing a yard with that is sending it as a joke that has somewhat backfired?

Probably a message sent in error to you and not intended to be in the slightest bit creepy (think Mother sending a message to her Daughter who didn't fill a haynet right up and now Mother, who went to check the horses, is feeding the pony again whilst Daughter is out with friends) Ha ha not that I'm speaking from a whole childhood of experience

Probably best to play safe but I'm sure it will be fine

I also would ring the number I think, that seems a bit creepy, but as people say, could be the wrong number.

My horse is kept at home so I only have myself to moan about!

I'm being positive about this and assuming it has come to me by mistake. If I get any more I will be onto 02 and they sort it out.

Roll on Tuesday night when OH is back. We sure are missing him now!

I once had a text saying "Darcy's fine , a little shocked to see me," at 10pm at night! I was almost out the door when I got a phone call explaining they'd left the hose on, and it as infact my friend . Phew!

Get out what are the chances of it being wrong number and them having a horse too?

Its probably someone you know with a new number who hasn't thought to tell you or something silly like that.

Just to update everyone - no texts tonight. Must admit to being a bit apprehensive when I went down tonight but hopefully it was just a one off.

I tried calling the number several times during the day from work but the phone was switched off and voicemail not activated so no way of knowing.
