:D I know I'm getting abit ahead of myself but I spend all year counting down to this awesome event!! I'm so excited! I save up all year for a massive shopping spree :-)

So does anyone know any discount codes that work for tickets this year? Every penny counts to save for the shopping!! :-)

Anyone as excited as me? :D

I don't know any discount codes but just thought I would say I'm going for the fist time i can't wait xxxxx mum got me and ger the gold VIP tickets for my birthday :D x

I'm going,3rd time this yr will be.I'm temptted to get vip with carl, charlotte n laura being there.

Ah I LOVE YHL. Not sure if I'm going this year or not...Hope so.

Don't know any discounts codes yet, as another poster said, they usually come out 6 weeks before hand :)

I am going! Missed last year :( but really looking forward to this year with carl and charlotte being there!
Also have a shopping list going, got some awesome deals two years ago!

Can be a bit variable. Really great for clothes, horse rugs, many end of season bargains.
Depends on what you are looking for really, as there is so much STUFF that it can be a bit overwhelming. Starting to be quantity rather than quality.

I used to like it for the new stuff being introduced, but there doesn't seem to be as much of that lately - has everything been invented?

It isn't just shopping though - there are lots of mini-talks and lectures and some big name demonstrations, which I think are often worth the ticket price on their own.

Thank you, yep I realised it's not just shopping, however I've heard so many things about the shopping I was intreagued! I wouldn't go shopping for anything in particular, but love looking round and spending money I don't have on things I don't need!! :o

It's at Stoneleigh isn't it? Think that's only about an hours drive from me, I think I may have to experience it! :D

We've never been before, but are seriously considering it this year.

For shopping - mainly becuase we both want to upgrade our body protectors to Racesafe ones - can anyone who's been before remember if Racesafe have a stand there? We wanted to have them fitted, and of course hoping for a show discount!

Talks/Demo's - for those of you that have been before, I know the website says you can go in for a talk/demo on a standard ticket, but then you have to leave and queue up again, but how does that work in practice, would you spend so much time queuing it wouldn't be worth the effort? Basically, we are trying to decide if it's worth the extra money to get a VIP Silver ticket. :)

We went to a few of the demos last year on a standard ticket and I don't remember queing at all. I think we just walked in and found seats.

:( BUMP :( - no one know any discount codes?????

Anyone know any cheap hotels/B&Bs nearby as am looking at getting the weekend ticket :D :D :D :D :D

I'm not that excited really!!

hi im going and im staying at the blackdown village which is on site, its only £15 a night self catering , we plan to eat at the show as the food is good and reasonably priced.

Happyneds - if you want to see the demos one after the other you don't have to leave between them. Just stay seated. They repeat them am and pm so you can shop in am and watch demos pm if you want.

Or go both days, one for shopping and one for demos ;-)

We always find the feed companies really helpful as they have their nutritionists there.

Shopping wise I'm not sure this year, possibly a new nuumed numnah and some clothing for me. I always spend more than I think!!!!

I saw on facebook they're now doing a weekend ticket, both days for £28. Which saves you a bit. I'm still holding out for the BOGOF codes though.

I've been saving my shrapnel in a jar all year just for YHL spending money, nearly time to count it out! :D

I'm ashamed to say that I've never actually been to YHL :o - is the shopping really that good?

Horsey heaven!!!!

Was waiting for a YHL thread to appear - my favourite day of the year, better than christmas...!! :D It's become our yearly tradition, have a massive shopping list!
Fingers crossed for a BOGOF offer again ;)

I got my Racesafe from YHL in 2008 - from TreeHouse stand, they are usually there and seems they will be this year too :) http://www.treehouseonline.co.uk/show_list

It was a right shambles last year. Demos were full, shopping was same old with very few bargins compared to.other years. There were loads of complaints. I certainly won't be going this year!

It was far better when it was the Equine Event IMO! Far more bargains back in those days, good stuff reduced, not cheap tat. I bought my lovely heavy tweed show jacket there from Designer Browbands at an ultra low price 12 years ago and still wear it to this day, it's been showing to county level, hunting and now BDing!
