Your Horse Live

Last year was my first year there. I'm going again this year.

It's really REALLY cold. Like a big covered market filled with horsey stalls. It will take you longer than you imagine to get round it all, lol.

And most of all............Enjoy it!

We exhibitated there a few years ago, loved it!
Bargin central, but yes its freezing! Wrap up warm and be prepared for loads of free samples and spending far more than you intended!

Schedule time to see the Demonstrations, otherwise it will just be a shopping trip. Aim to get there early and leave late. Lots of local people go 2 days.

Very good bargains for clothes, horse wear plus some feed companies for advice on products, some new ideas, it is a job to pack it all in. Advice - take a picnic lunch and go back to the car, so you can leave all your purchases and go back for another go in the afternoon!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Pebbles and I will be there on Saturday - is there a bar/Pimms tent? If so, see you there!

I'll be there on OH's stand again, near the interactive zone in the warm bit! The first year we exhibited we were in the Blackstone Buildings which are FREEEEEEEEEZZZZZING!

Im going this year I havent been for a few years tho. Then there werent many bargains to be had I dont know what its like now but Im mainly going for the demos as currently horse hunting and when I get one I'll be skint. I wonder if theres going to be a horse simulator there this year?

It is the highlight of the year for me! My favourite stand is the one with all the bargain Just Toggs stuff! I love the demos too! I never find it that cold but I do always wear a coat and then jodhpur boots as the car park can get muddy. I wore Ugg boots a few years back and they got wrecked as there was torrential rain as we walked back to the car. I always take a packed lunch and flask of coffee and will then just buy a snack there.

I've been 4 years in a row (it's become a tradition!) and loveeee it, look forward to it all year! It's huge (a lot bigger than you think, takes me a day to get round it all) and full of bargains - clothing, rugs, tack, feed companies giving advice, hi viz, personalised bits & bobs, giant fancy horse lorries - it's got everything!
Definitely worth going, but i'd arrive early as it really is big. Bring comfy shoes because your feet will be knackered, but make sure they're not special ones because you have to park in a field and it can get quite boggy (but if you don't have a 4x4 there are tractors to pull you out if worst comes to the worst!) - a lot of people wear wellies.
there's a drop off point too so you don't have to carry round hundreds of bags all day. it can be quite chilly so bring layers, and they have a canteen & a few food stalls too.

LOVE it!!!! Been every year since it started and before it was YHL (equine event) I always book that weekend off work as soon as that years your horse has finished!!

I love it for the demo's, the shopping and great for advice from feed companies. They do a shop + drop so you don't have to lug it round with you, it's just a donation to a charity - this year it's the donkey sanctuary I believe.

Factor in the demo's, they have two arenas. A big one and a smaller one in one of the cattle halls. Some of them do get busy and once they've started they won't let you in so make sure you get there early for what you want to see. The rockin horse display was mental last year and you couldn't get anywhere near it to get in!!

Most of all enjoy it, and take lots of money :-)

We go with the trade stand every year, its fab. They did add extra heating last year so it was pretty comfortable (and I feel the cold!)

Went last yeat- didnt think much of it. Wont be going again. You are basically paying to go shopping. Its crowded, massive queues for anything good (and the toilets) really expansive food. Wasnt worth the £40 for me and OH

Have been fot the last couple of years and love it! This year we are going to both days.. one for watching demos and the other for shopping!

I'm going, dragging my non horsey mum round again this year she loved it last year :)
the shopping is AMAZING and the demos are awesome

so excited litteraly cannot wait

xx

Is there any discount codes knocking around? I might be able to convince hubby to take me if there is!

I've been twice before. The first time I went I didn't know what to expect, went on a mad shopping spree and missed all the good demos. The second time I planned my shopping around the demos!

Its fantastic. Just make sure you download or pick up a programme and plan your day first.
