I am hoping to buy some tickets to YHL this year. I've never been before, but think it looks good fun and a great opportunity to watch some master classes from some great riders!

I was wondering what other people's experiences of the event were. Is it hard to get seats to watch the master classes? I saw on the website that is on a first come first served basis. I don't want to travel all the way there, and then find out that we can't get a seat in the main arena!

:D

Hello - you will love it,masterclasses are repeated and I have never had a problem being able to sit and watch the displays.

On another note what does 'bug' me is the late arrivals and talkers...........some peolple are just so rude!!

Its my favourite thing that i look forward to all year. This will be my fourth year. Weve only missed one demo we wanted to see, we just left it too late and everyone wanted to see that one

Each of the riders giving the exhibitions in the main arena usually give two shows, one in the morning & one in the afternoon. Each show is different. Normally there is no difficulty getting a seat to watch the master classes however I believe that this year it will be alot different. All the riders are Olymic Gold Medal winners except Mary King who got Silver so there will be more than the normal number people wanting to see them & show their appreciation.

The last time Carl Hester was there there was a massive queue of people waiting to get in to see him when the previous exhibition rider had finished but many didn't get a seat as spectators remained in their seats to see him as well. I suspect that with the Olympic results many will get a seat & remain i the audience for quite a while. :)

Yeah, that's what I was worried about Toby. I've noticed that all the VIP tickets which have guaranteed seats are sold out. I guess we would have to just queue quite a bit in advance and hope for some seats. I am desperate to see Carl and Charlotte in action, I'd be gutted if I didn't get to see them!
