Your Horses' Letters to Santa, please

Dear Snata.
I have been very good all year. Well that's not very true, but I have most of the time. I still fall over all the time, although things have got a bit better since that very nice Chris did something to my feet and I had new shoes, so I would like some more of those.

Mainly I seem to fall over because I am looking at something which is either a long way off or very small and I am trying to decide which. I do like tractors and it's really funny that we have got such big ones and Stokes over the field have got such teeny weeny ones. I would like some of those teeny weeny ones to play with, please. They have got teeny weeny cows, too.

I would like new rugs because I had to borrow someone elses when it snowed because who knew an unclipped Connie/Cob could get so cold he would damn near lie down and die, I don't understand it myself, I have got the wooliest coat on the planet but I am a bit delicate so I would like a turnout rug like Himself's with a hood and everything.

I would like a lot of carrots, although I will have to have a tablet if I eat them I suppose, as I do get a runny bum at the idea of a change in diet. I am very glad my mummy loves me, I do seem to be a bit challenged, but I know she will buy me presents and we will all have a lovely Christmas.

PS If you need any extra help when you have been here you could do worse than take that annoying little git next door with you. As long as reindeer don't mind being bored to death about blooming show jumping.

Dear Santa,

I would like loads and loads and LOADS of mints I don't like them orange sticks very much, nor do I like the green/red balls (although I do love to eat them r-e-a-l-l-y slowly while someone holds them for me)
I would also love a big field to charge around in and give mum heart attacks when she thinks I'm gonna crash into the fence (can't blame her really, I've done it a few times!)
But most of all I want mum to feel better after a nasty horse at my old home kicked her in the knee and now she's at HER old home with her mum looking after her. She's miles away so auntie chloe is looking after me. I love auntie chloe cause she's nice but I want mum back, she knows my itchy spots and spoils me rotten.

Dear Santa, I would like to be able to run with my mares again rather than being stuck behind this very strong electric fence which makes me stay where I am supposed to be. I'm sure that T has been telling you how good I've been all year, so good that I even got to have my wicked way some lady friends No I'm sure you realize that this, along with all the dressage I've been doing is very tiring, and I could do with a good holiday.

So, if it isn't too much trouble, could you take T back to Lapland with you, and she can practice doing dressage with reindeer for the year, whilst my harem and I laze around.

Also, if you can't do that, could you please please please pretty please cancel all shows, freeze the outdoor arena and cave the roof in on the indoor arena so that no one will make me work.

Dear Santa

Please can I have a friend my size to play with? My two little brothers no longer play with me any more and I am rather bored and loney being on the other side of the fence from them. They keep running away from me when I run after them in my field (I only want to play ) but mummy keeps shouting at me when I do, so she has put them in their own little field now. I promise I have been good, I have eaten all my food (even with that nast cough medicine in it), I have kept all my shoes on this year and I have only come in with a handful of cuts and bruises up until now. I know there was that incident when mummy hurt herself when she fell off me, apparently she now has a 'bi-onic' arm (no idea what that is, but she still has the 2 to brush me with ) but otherwise I have been reeeeeaaaaalllllllyyyy good! So pweety please can I have a friend???

Could I please have a robot that can follow me round and itch me all day? I do love a good scratch but mummy's arms stop working after about 20 minutes, she tries her best, but has no stamina, whereas I have the stamina to stand there all day while someone scratches me! Humans, blooming useless...

i do love my dressage and im a right little princess but i get bored being inside this much.
i love my advent calender and would like the peppermint treats to continue
i have sneaking suspicion i have got a new rug for christmas and a new numnah but personally id like more shavings to roll in even tho my bed is a foot deep of fresh shavings . and id also like more windows on my stables as im really nosy.

I have been a very good boy all year and tried to keep my cheeky side in check but sometimes I just can't help myself but will try to be better from now on

Please can I have some more food because honestly I am starved, my mummies say I need to loose weight before spring but honestly I am nearly fainting away and there's hardly anything left of me just a extra carrot or twenty would be nice

I would also like some courage because really I am a big baby, everyone tells me what a big strapping lad I am but I'm scared of lots of things, except food it's just a very scary world out there and you never know what might get you next, especially slow signs on the road

If it's not too much to ask could I also have a new whinny, when I do it everyone bursts out laughing and says I sound like a girl, it's giving me a bit of a complex

I've tried to be a good girl but seeing as it's almost christmas my halo is starting to slip a bit. Please could I have some rugs that cover up my bottom, I don't think the mini skirt suits my connie x irish bottom even if the boys next door do like my dapples! Please could you also hide mummy's saddle, I find it far more fun to bomb off and buck when she doesn't have it!
Please could you also provide me with some turf to fill in all ditches with a jump behind them. Drainage ditches and x country ditches alone are fine but those ones with a fence behind, what's that about?! Ditches are for jumping, fences are for jumping but ditches and fences is just silly in my opinion and I don't think mummy likes it either as she tends to go all stiff and then throws herself out the side door!

Oh and if you have time could I have a nose trimmer too, I do rather suffer from nose hair (and a moustache) which is rather embrarrassing for a lady!

Dear Santa,

My name is Genie and I am 6 years old. I have been a very very good girl this year, I know so because my Mummy has told me soooooo many times this year, especially during the summer show season.

For Christmas I would LOVE to get a huuuuge supply of mints, extra strong if it's not too much trouble. The Mint Lady gives them to me sometimes, but not nearly enough, and my Mummy is too stingy so I really need my own supply.

Could you also possibly talk to my Mummy about her leaving me out at night? I've been trying to hint to her about it recently by just refusing to be caught, but she STILL brings me in!

Finally, my little sister Titch would like to have a new rug that isn't second hand. I've told her she has to wait until she stops growing for that but she ignores me. Actually.... you could just take her with you??

I have been a reasonably good boy this year, only broken 1 gate and not given any horses boo-boos or even bitten any peoples. So could you please let the humans get it into their heads I like being in my stables and it is not cruel if I ask for it. Let there be stud muffins, Kendal mint cake and carrots. Let there not be vets, parsnips or vets(I know I said that twice, but I really don't like him) I could do with a couple of new rugs, mine are sooooo last year.

I have been a very good boy all year and have been looking after my mummy. She is very pleased with me because I am super fit at the moment and we went on some fantastic long hacks this summer. I would like some sweeties for Christmas as one of my favourite things to do is eat! Also, I would like the snow to stay away now so that me and mummy can go hunting as we haven't managed to go yet this season because of the weather and I love galloping along with all of the big horses as I can keep up with them easily even though I am much smaller.

Actually I don't believe in you any more cos I'm a grown up horse now and I know it's really my mummy that leaves my pressies on Christmas morning. And by the way, a new weigh tape is not my idea of the perfect Xmas gift. A nice selection box with polos, carrots apples and lickits would be more like it.

I've been very very good this year, and have behaved well for my new mummy. I have made lots of new friends and am once again enjoying life. I've been very patient and tolerant with the snow and Mummy's very proud of me
For christmas I'd love lots of yummy treats to go in my treat ball, and lots of carrots and apples. Mummy says I can have a banana for my breakfast on christmas day! I don't like likits though.
I'd also love to go somewhere for a good old gallop, just like I used to. Used to all the time and I miss it. I look out over the field near my stable wishing to go for a spin. Maybe go to some horsey parties aswell.
I'd like this christmas to be extra special, and I'm enjoying having my own special mummy
I'd love to see the reindeer. Not much scares me... I just don't like going anywhere on my own. I like other horses to come with me.

I have been a good girl, well most of the time, I was having great fun with this jumping lark my owner has taught me to do, much better than the boring dressage I used to do in my previous life. We were doing great until I hurt my tendon at PC camp at end of August, I had to have 7 weeks boring box rest and no riding for 14 weeks, the vet came and told my mum I could start work again, great!!! Was doing great til the damn snow arrived, now my fitness programme has to be started again. Anyway, what I want is for my Mum to be happy again, shes been with me through it all, always there to walk me inhand everday, even when|I spent most my time on my back legs, love me hug me, feed me and just spend so much time with me whilst imprisoned.. I want to be able to get back out and jump again, vet has told mum I will be back to my old self again. Until then I have been threatend with some walk and trot dressage tests!!! Roll on spring time!!!

Also can I please have a huge supply of extra strong mints,carrots and apples.
