I'm at a loss of what I would like for my birthday and my bf is getting fed up asking me!!

I don't really need anything but wanted something pony related.

I wondered about having a smart patent bridle for dressaging but not sure my mare is smart enough!!

Can I see pics you might have of your horses wearing a patent bridle? So I can see if mine could pull one off!!!

I also have the GFS rolled patent bridle but am going to sell it as it doesn't suit my horse at all, gorgeous bridle though and would def recommend

Can't have the elevator one because they dont seem to have flash straps and Lilly would go round with her mouth wide open!!

I love the browband just not keen on the rolled leather, it's probably a good thing as less leather on her delicate face maybe making her look more chunky though...

That's right, it was £20 or £23 can't remember but off ebay, it was a private seller!

I have a gorgeous patent bridle for sale if anyone is interested... so not advertising (well, I am but I'd rather sell it to a lovely HHOer than stranger on ebay!).

I have literally only used it twice. And whilst I can pull of a bit of bling BEing, I just cant do patent with a horse that does a cr*p test ... It is a flash noseband, not rolled leather one with a really lovely "u" shape browband...

Basically, it is this bridle:

Fig actually has a very undelicate head - he has a flat straight forehead and nose. CS has a very pretty seahorse fass.

Problem solved Bare in mind that's the 'regular' width, Bruce has the extra wide version. It's only a cavesson as it was bought to go with Bruces double.

Look on the Morgan and Saddlebred websites - patent leather is used for show bridles and you can spots and all different colours too.

I think there is a UK manufacturer who exports to the USA, but I don't know the name.
La Salle is the name of the USA manufacturer, but I doubt if they do very big sizes, they mostly do Arab, Morgan, Saddlebred.

Not a fan! It has buckles, noseband is really thin and the headpiece is unpadded Although PE browbands are really lovely I must say.

Not as nice as the 7 row browband of XXXXXXXXX sparklyness I just ordered!!

I thought that PE was a bit thin on the noseband too. I found a nice Jeffries one too but had a teeny thin noseband. Time for ooteman order!!

What size did you get for Fig? My boy is between cob and full size depending on the make.

I've ordered from them lots of times and never had a single problem. I even returned a browband to them once as it wasn't what I wanted in the end and they refunded it no problem. I would recommend them.

These are really nice bridles - pics do not do it justice. I have their normal bridle with patent upgrade noseband on its way!

I am also one of those who has had problems with FSS - horrid to deal with IMO. But Evison Equine (who make the bridle above) are delightful and very helpful.
