Honestly, just the thought of my right rein makes me cringe.

Totally my fault!

Both my horse and I's worst rein is the right rein.

I'm right handed and my left side is much weaker due to illness so I struggle to turn on that rein when I'm tired as my left shoulder shoots forwards and I struggle to stop my horse falling out as my left leg and hand are weak.

If the horse I'm riding is stiff or their left rein is the worse rein I can correct myself enough to keep the horse straight/turn/have the correct bend.

Currently it is the left rein but when I first started schooling him it was the right rein!

When asked to canter to the right he would panic, throw his head in the air, and piss off on the left lead! Now his schooling has come a long way he actually finds it harder to bend and balance to the left.

I think he just likes to be awkward!

Mine pretty good on both, but right rein canter is horrific! She will NOT work in an outline in right rein canter at all

Have actually tried everything I can think of so if anyones got any suggestions..........

I have a very weak right leg and my horse is not very flexible on the right rein. However, he's much better on the left rein but my left hand is atrocious, too hard, not giving enough.. I am left handed. I don't think there's much hope for us ever being balanced myself!

Nothing is that simple with my horse.

The right rein is the hardest to get right but by far the best when I get it.
