In the furure I would like to have the courage to do some ridden showing with my boy and some sponsored rides, eventually I would like to do a novice dressage test

I'd also like a youngster to start from stratch (probably either a highland or cob type).

What about you?

To hack out on my own & do some local shows. Confidence has taken a major nose dive after operations & not being able to ride for a year or so due to medical probs. I'm absolutely fine on the ground but just the thought of riding, although it excites me, turns my stomach to a ball of worms too

I will get there but it will take a bit of time, I'm giving myself a year to 18 months to achieve the above

Which should be plenty of time! Hopefully.

Climb up the eventing levels! - though being an amateur in a predominantly professional sport is very hard work - esp when I have to pay for it all myself - geographically tricky as my horses are in Shropshire and I work in London to fund them!
As far as dreaming of Badminton (id never be that brave I dont think) the fun ride in the autumn there will suffice!

With Maiden - get to the stage where she is hacking out in walk and trot for a couple of hours and get my mum back on her having some fun

Eventually I'd like to have a baby from her too for me to have!
Other than that - buy a new horse (preferably an Iberian), do BD to at least medium, jump little baby SJ and XC for fun (I've never managed to go XC schooling yet, that is a big aim!), and generally have fun with a horse of my own without damaging it!

Very long-term I'd love to be able to competently ride a GP test one day, either in competition or just at home for fun

Um stay on!
Short term - improve my bond with George and regain our confidence and fun together.
Mid term - manage that clear round jumping, have a proper gallop.
Long term - jump some weeny xc fences.

Short term - get chestnut to lose weight, get grey new brain.
Mid term - take both eventing in September.
Long term - get something with better feet! Maybe buy a young horse and back it, something I couldn't afford if it was older and established.

short term- get ponio back upto scratch after his injury!

Mid term - register him with bsja

Long term - jump him at kent county either next year, or the year after!

- Achieve a consistent, soft outline in horsey

- Jump 1.20m on horsey

- Become a rider, rather than someone sitting on an obliging horsey's back.

Have scribbles work in three balanced paces for me, not bothered about an outline, that is like aiming for the Olympics with him. That in itself would be the greatest achievement I have ever accomplished.

Yes, he really is THAT bad.

Short term - go to a local show and do the clear round and a prelim dressage test

Mid term - hopefully affiliate dressage and actually get somewhere, pluck up the courage to see how high the beast can actually jump

Long term - breed a foal from my mare and keep it to bring on myself

to cary on going with mollie as we are build up her schooling now we can be consistent about it in the menage and to have a good run at the internations 2009 where she will retire

chester to really get to grips with each other building up a firm partnership and aiming to take him to a few small clear round evenings towards the end of the year x
