Your 'horsey' song

lol

Old girl - Daisy was the 'daisy, daisy, give me your answer do' song! sad I know, I used to sing it to her all the time and she would put her ears back at me!! lol

My big black cob Harry, is the black beauty theme tune of course!!

and my lovely (if a little bit silly) TB on loan, Mac -cyprus hill - insane in brain :) lol, bloody awful song, but I cant help it, just seems to go around my head!!

Hairy - 'I like big butts and I cannot lie...'

Barney who has an ear phobia the 'Ne ne ne, Can't touch this!' song. Mainly from trying to clip his ears out once and it came on the radio as I was doing [attempting!] it. LOL.

Buster's just chilled really....maybe a bit of Mozart ;)

Sp is Pokerface, as unless you know him, he has zero personality that shows through. He just has his shell.

And the LW....my god completely the 'You're so vain!' song or 'I feel pretty, oh so pretty!'.

christina aguilera - fighter.. dunno why, just makes me feel determined :p

and also james blunt - goodbye my lover... cried soooooo much when we took my old pony to his new home when i was about 11 to this song. Cant listen to it now without it bringing a tear to my eye :'( such a depressing song :p

There are a few that make me think of my boy but the main one is - Country Girl by Primal Scream - just replace girl with boy lol!

My Horsey even dog Song

A 4 Legged Friend" Roy Rogers and Bob Hope

A four legged friend, a four legged friend
He'll never let you down
He's honest and faithful right up to the end
That wonderful one-two-three-four legged friend

A woman's like cactus and cactus can hurt
'Cause she's just a tight-waisted winky-eyed flirt
She'll soon have your land and your pride and your gold
And bury you deep long before you grow old

A four legged friend, a four legged friend
He'll never let you down
He's honest and faithful right up to the end
That wonderful one-two-three-four legged friend

A two legged hombre is worthless as sand
He'll smile like a saint with a gun in his hand
He'll promise to stick by your side like a pal
But he'll also promise the same to your gal

A four legged friend, a four legged friend
He'll never let you down
He's honest and faithful right up to the end
That wonderful one-two-three-four legged friend

Who carries your burden, who carries your load
On tumbleweed land or a long dusty road
Who asks you no questions, who tells you no lies
That four legged friend with the two honest eyes

A four legged friend, a four legged friend
He'll never let you down
He's honest and faithful right up to the end
That wonderful four legged friend

That wonderful one-two-three-four legged friend

We have 3!

For Pone - "Cant stop me now" Queen - she is an oldie and full of life! :)

For Bean - "they call her Banner, Banner, faster than lightning, no horse you see, is faster than she" (for obvisous reasons! In same tune as 'Flipper'!!!) My nephew loves this one and sings it everytime he sees her.

And last one is for my neice and me when hack out "trotting along, singing a song, as we're riding through the beautiful countryside..... have a banana" from bedknobs and broomsticks

Makes me smile even writing them down :D

When I sold my first horse in 1985, for some reason whenever I heard the Alison Moyet song 'Invisible' it always made me cry - and still does.
When my lovely welsh cob died in 2008, I heard Razorlight - Wire to Wire on the radio. No idea what the words are or what the song's about, but that also made me cry and again, still does!
On a lighter note, I'm glad I'm not the only 'sing out loud whilst riding nutter'!
I regularly do this! It also really helps me if I am have a 'nervous' ride.
Not sure why I sing this song but I do.
It is called 'If I had Words' and is probably most commonly known from the 'Babe' film (that is the little pig, not some porno movie!).

My Chérie Amour - Stevie Wonder :o Even though he's a boy - he is gorgeous :D

Other one that sometimes sticks in my head but is a bit sad really is:-
The Dogs and the Horses - The Divine Comedy

Never listen to this song if you are feeling down - it's a blubbing song :(

I had two for my lad- 'Flowers in the window' by Travis because I used to sing it to him all the time. And 'Hello' by Beyonce - slightly sad as I had been listening to that particular album a lot while he was ill, and the day he was PTS that song was half way through playing when I left my car, and when I got back in the car it carried on to play and he was no longer alive- it also has the lyrics 'you had me at hello' which says it all for me really. It was also the first song to play on shuffle on my ipod out of over 1000 songs the day that I bought my new horse, coincidence to some, but I like to think of it as an ok from him that he approved of my new horse.

When I had my last horse PTS it was really sad, she was only 9 and the vet had got the diagnosis wrong. We know that now after 2 years. But at that time i watched this video on youtube from the saddle club (dont know why), and it was a song called Storm :)

It made me smile cos' in the story storm gets PTS for being too hard to handle (I think) and it was a really nice good bye song. I have it on my iPod and when it comes on shuffle it makes me sad, but also happy that I can still remember her though this song :D

xx

Mines the plain white t's "hey there delilah" fella at my old yard used to always sing it to her as he walked past her stable :'( I miss my girly too much
Grr should have read this thread lol

Chasing cars by snow patrol. It was playing on the radio as my horse was PTS, and then when I got in the car to drive away it was on again. I cant hear it now without thinking of him, although I can smile now - it used to make me sob like a baby!

Strange how songs can catch you and have such an effect at a personal time. Ours was a very similiar experience when we had to have an old lady PTS, 'Rule the world' by Take That was playing on the radio on the way to the yard. After all was done, I got back in the car to drive home feeling awful, switched the radio back on and the same song was playing again, so it is and always will be Poppy's song for us.

seeing as I am old its the song white horses from the programme that used to be on with the lipizzaners when I was a mere child.

I also love 'White Horses' from the TV programme - all my best ponies have been greys:)

For my little endurance mare, rather shamefully it is 'Flying Without Wings' by Westlife (I know, cringe), but she is my special thing and I'm flying without wings.

Also, on long rides, I sing '3 Wheels on my Wagon' to her - from v old TV programme. She always picks up when she hears it - it is our 'keep going' song:D

Hmm...

For Evil Bonnie Coblet - 'Maneater' :D She is quite partial to chomping people...!
For Albert - 'Relax, Take It Easy' or 'Big Girl' by Mika, hes a big, loveable lump :D
For Dawi - 'Big, Blonde and Beautiful' from Hairspray ;)

For Gwenny - 'Hey There Deliah' or 'It must be Love' :o I miss that wonderful pony :(

Delaney's Donkey by Val Doonican, no idea why, sing it when schooling just makes me giggle and puts me in a happy mood, which then helps me to relax more with my girl.
