Your ideal of the "Perfect Horse"?

You mean you don't like THIS look????? Lol

My prev loan boy. He has a forever home with me if fate decides he comes back. Such a great personality, chilled out, sensible and is a big spotty fun-bag. I just love him! He has metabolic issues, and taught me such a lot about feet! Who say's laminitics can't go barefoot??

This is him driving for the first time... shoeless, yes trotting merrily along the road. Took to it like duck to water.

My new girl is going to be grey like yours faracat... but she is the colour in my avatar now... not looking forward to it!!!

Our horses aren't perfect but pretty close :D Chloe ( the dark bay/black) cos she is my first very own horse and she's taught me so much, we've had so much fun together, she's owes me absolutley nothing.

Amber ( the chesnut) is my OH's new youngster, she's helping us get over loosing our old boy as she is so completely different to him. Oh and she's a TB, have a soft spot for TB's!

Only read the first page - going to go against the grain and not post a picture of my own horse ;)

For me - one that's forward and off my leg without being hot. Talented and willing, with a bit of spark but nothing mental. Brave, confident, not spooky. 16.3-17 hands, probably a lovely bay gelding :)

I'm very lucky to have 4 almost perfect horses.

If I could combine them all that would be great :)

I'd have baileys conformation, confidence and paces, Merlins height, jump, well-schooledness and bombproof nature. Fudges looks, lady's fowardgoingness and easiness to handle as well as her whinney.
Fudges affectionate nature, Merlins loyalty and parts of all of them so that I had one with no health or soundness issues :D

The two horses I have - 1 is a arab mare - shes tempermental and hormonal, and is quite opinionated, and no 2 is a 4 year old sports horse (IDXTB) gelding, very quirky, quick to learn & hopefully a future eventing/ dressage star (in my eyes anyway!).

I wouldnt change either of them for the world though, they both whinny at me every morning & night when I go sort them out, they have really funny & very different personalities, but they are both actually lovely natured and I love being around them :).

Already own her! Easy to do in every way, laid back when out and about, kind and loyal and loves jumping. Dream pony :D

My perfect horse would be a HUGE 18hh heavy weight hunter, that had a cracking gallop but was a right softie on the ground.

However, due to a series of events i ended up with a rather highly strung dutch warmblood, who is super green and super sharp!

I wouldnt change a thing about him though :):D

The coloured in my Avtar, really brilliant little horse. Has just the right amount of cheek to keep it interesting and he would jump fantastically. Just wish his legs weren't knackered :(

For a new horse my ideal would be:

Anything from 14hh upwards
Any colour
Almost any breed
More or less sane and sensible
Forward going but with brakes

AKA doesn't really exist without spending ALOT of money!

My perfect horse would be a chestnut Welsh D gelding with a flaxen mane and tail and a blaze that covers the muzzle and nostrils (if you know what I mean?!) He would be 14.5/15hh (slightly overheight!) and would have a trot to die for! He would be cheeky and forward going but not too temperamental and mad. He would be perfect in any and every sphere :D Aahhh...dream on :p

My old pony started out as a chestnut filly and turned grey as she got older. She is now completely 'white'.

My perfect horse is a horse that is the total opposite of perfect! I could fall asleep on anything that doesn't buck, jog about or be a general monkey head!

snap!! exept mine wud be even more perfect if he was a moody mare instead instead of a nut job gelding tho! :D

I know of this exact horse, except she's a mare! Also, 14.5?;)

Fergs would be absolutely perfect if I could trust him to do long distance rides/TREC etc by himself without flipping out on me. Mind you, if we could do that now, we'd have nothing to aim for and I'd be bored witless!

Woody left bug boots to fill, he was a ex steepl chaser from Ireland he had quirks, he couldn't really school ( my fault) but he has manners to burn, jumped anything and a heart if gold once we clicked. All I want in another woody, and I love greys.

I'm very lucky to have what you have described! (However blaze doesn't cover his nostrils!) And he is my perfect horse! He is only 3, 14.2 and a half (should get to 15hh) and started lighly lunging and he has been like a pro. He is very cheeky and clever and I love him to bits!

Oh he's just gorgeous! In love with his mane :D And yes, I'm very specific :p:D

A mixture of mine and my share horse would be perfect.

Throw in Archie's forward-goingness, unflapple attitude to hacking and traffic, cleanliness in the stable (never poos in his bed, does it all at the front) and general soppiness, take away his dislike for being brushed (or having anything done to him), his bad feet, his napping at any sort of event and his potential for a dirty stop (although he's not allowed to jump any more anyway!) Add Monty's laid-backness, his totally 100% reliable jump, his lovely paces and just how easy he is to deal with and take away his spookiness and dislike of transit vans and his propensity to get very fat very easily and you have the perfect horse. But only if mixing two greys means you get a bay!

Your lot are amateurs at getting filthy. THIS is how it's done properly.

My old 13.2 was a superstar! Perfect little pony in every way! If only she could have grown a few hands for me! Plus back then hitting the floor didn't hurt so much!

i would LOVE to have a horse of my own one day but i always wanted a stunning jet black gelding with a really long glossy mane, softie on the ground but would do anything for me. a cheeky personality and someone that i could talk to when i am upset and will understand.
