Hi All,

I run the Barnmice community. If you have not yet visited us, the community is a YouTube/Facebook for the equine world and of course everyone is invited to join!

I would very much appreciate any feedback on two issues.

1. Facebook habits and preferences of UK riders.
2. Ways of supporting the riding community in the UK.

In the year since our launch, I have been tracking the patterns of our visitors and members. Everyone watches the videos, adds photos, etc, and the riders from North America and Australia also create lots of their own sub communities and social groups for their yards, local clubs, disciplines, etc.

I have thousands of individual riders from the UK who very actively participate, and I would like to reach out to and encourage local groups to create their own social communities with us for their members as well.

We do have British organisations that have created their own social groups with us, but these are very large organisations - the BEF and World Horse Welfare.

Is this type of online idea something that would appeal to smaller UK clubs and groups?

Is there some type of showcasing opportunity that the smaller UK clubs/organisations are looking for, but don't yet have?

Is this already being done a lot with UK yards on facebook?

Also, as I am in the position to give something back to the UK "riding world", is there or are there specific events that I should be helping to sponsor? I only know of World Horse Welfare, but I was also thinking of smaller, very well respected shows, or organisations.

Many thanks for reading this very long post!
