Your input/opinions needed! Please let me know what you think of...

1) Drop nose band - always rated them, not easy to find in my area (Warwickshire) where fallen out of fashion in favour of flash nosebands on bridles
2) Close contact saddle - never tried one, would consider them though
3) Comfort bridles - like them, found them to be a useful tool
4) 'Tasteful'(!) bling (i.e. no pink diamante, just understated browbands etc) - i have seen some nice ones, but not felt the need myself:D
5) Side reins - handy piece of kit.

Yummy Kit Kat!!

Not telling here! But I can promise mine is 100% R4-friendly and also totally U-rated. There is a big debate going on about it in the sport, as some are just, well, wrong. I personally don't really 'get' the properly x-rated ones, but I am very much less 'alternative' than many people who do it, and have to confess to being a bit uncomfortable with our team name for various reasons, but it's a democracy and people with louder voices than me like it, so it stays. I think it is off-putting and will hinder our public image/getting sponsorship etc, but time will tell on that one, since we are probably 12 months away from playing competitively it doesn't really matter at the moment! :)

This totally intrigued me and after a bit of googling I think I have it! Quite honestly I don't know how you fit it all in - you must be insanely driven (or perhaps previously driven insane?! :D)

No, I just do a lot of things badly ;)

My OH will tell you I have scant regard for running a home, and TBH if he wasn't so forgiving and didn't look after me, I'd probably live on cereal and the odd takeaway, whilst struggling to find clean pants and not being able to open to the door due to the rubbish piling up! I do virtually nothing domestic - he cooks, cleans, does the washing etc etc, and I am eternally grateful to him. In return, he goes out with his mates biking and climbing and is smug because he never needs to ask for a 'pass' ;) He actually fills the fridge with easy-cook things when he goes away without me so I do not die when he is away. (BTW I am a good cook, I just don't have time!!).

Where do you find these rare breeds? :p

Where do you find these rare breeds? :p

I found this one in the Uni mountaineering club! It has been said before if I could clone him, I'd make a fortune. He's one of those irritating people that everyone likes too, and he has a good job which funds holidays and other fun things. He also flew me to Venice to propose.....One day I will wake up and find he isn't real and my life is one big dream!

1) Drop nose band - if i could find one in the right size I'd have bought one.

Sorry to hi kjack the thread.....but the drop you are all looking for is called a Kinlet Drop.
It is flat accross the nose and has two adjustable buckles either side....a good saddler should be able to make one...
Sorry!.....movin' on now......scuffs wellies in puddle....

1) Drop nose band
Never used one. I have nothing against them though! Think they're a bit ugly though (no offence to any drop nose band users/lovers :p )
2) Close contact saddle
Love them.Think they're great to ride in because you really do get a better feel of the horse imo. Horse I rode a bit had a gorgeous Amerigo one.
3) Comfort bridles
I also would love one of these! :D They look very posh and nice. Anything to make the horse comfortable is worth buying
4) 'Tasteful'(!) bling (i.e. no pink diamante, just understated browbands etc)
Can't go wrong with a bit of bling :p Livens it all up a bit
5) Side reins
Seeing as though I very rarely lunge I'd have no use for them.
