Your opinion on jodhpur boots and chaps?

I'm looking for new jod boots and was wondering what boots/ chaps you guys use?
They are just to use to compete in.

Let me know what you think/ wear!

Ariat, always. blissful comfort on and off the horse. love their gaiters too.

I am interested too. My mountain horse boots are falling apart but I love my chaps so I keep using them. Would like to find something a bit more 'close contact' - the only downside is the MH boots are a little bulky!

I'm another for Ariat. My 'home' footwear to ride in are Ariat short boots and gaiters (no idea which ones specifically though) and they're fantastic. All of my various boots are all Ariat and I won't go anywhere else anymore!

Another vote for Ariat & from a distance they look like long boots too

Another vote for Ariat here too- I have really wide feet that make finding comfy women's shoes/boots a nightmare but all Ariats are so comfy. They're really well made too, though I've had issues with the zipped boots which only lasted a year before breaking. Got some lace up ones two years ago, and they're still going strong (although I replaced the laces about 3 months ago as they'd frayed).
