Have just put together my ad for someone to help with Archie. Can you let me know what you think - please be constructive but gentle with me ... I'm poorly
Longterm COMMITTED MATURE (as in with common sense) ADULT required, minimum once per week, maximum to be discussed.
"I am looking for a COMPETENT, knowledgable ADULT rider to ride and love and fuss my 16.2 hh ID x Cob who in return will look after them, love and fuss in return. Ideally a person who has time on their hands during the daytime, perhaps a mum with children at school who wants to get back in the saddle.
He is a completely safe happy hacker but requires a knowledgeable person as he will try his luck with someone who doesn't know what they are doing (as he has done in the past - plants himself and won't move!). He is not built for speed but for comfor. If speed is your thing then he will be no good for you - he has mainly one speed ... slow, at his own pace, and that suits us both. He does ocassionally perk up but that is usually when he hears me rustling in my pocket for a carrot or mint. He can pop a log in the forest but has not been formally educated over jumps.
He is ridden in a Dr Cooks bitless bridle, usually on the buckle.
Lives out 24/7/365 so no stable duties but poo picking and general care.
Kept at idyllic rural farm location, PO8 postcode, near Clanfield, Horndean, A3 corridor. Transport necessary.
I am an honest person looking for an honest person in return. I have been messed around recently and need commitment so my horse is not messed around anymore. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is honest and reliable and who has thought about this seriously and will not give up after a couple of weeks because they have got it out of their system.
Please email me in the first instance".
Also, I hope this is acceptable and I don't get told off by anyone.
