Just basically wondering what you thought of Kenny? How he's looking, conformation points, etc :) never really had any unbiased opinions on him (obviously I think he's the best  ) I know you can't see his feet in the pic so anything other than them :)

He is rising 6 and is by Earl of Newbridge.

I have nothing to say about conformation as it isn't my area of expertise.

Just wanted to say that 'Kenny' is an awesome name! Love it! :p

I love connies :D My gelding is by Tiercel Top Cat.

I would say he looks to have a slightly upright shoulder and weak/long neck but it could be the way he's standing or the ground etc. and I am by no means a professional!

What do you do with him? :)

Aww he's lovely. Funnily his grand-sire is Earl of Castlefrench who's my boys grand-sire so they're related somewhere along the line :)

Remarkably he looks like a Connemara that was for sale at my old yard last year called Ken! How ironic!

The picture doesnt do him justice my comment would be has he been out of work he is nicely rounded but lacks topline. He is a little straight through the hocks and a bit upside down in the neck
He is a lovely pony though and has a super length of rein a nicely sloped shoulder and what looks like good bone

He looks sweet! Can't give any worthwhile opinions though, as the picture isn't the best, nor is my eye.

However, my sister also has a connemara by Earl of Newbridge! (see my signature, he's the big grey beast :D )

He looks an absolute sweetie but to be fair it's hard to tell conformation from the pic for the reasons others have stated. The only negatives I can really see are a slightly upright shoulder and it looks as though he has built up some muscle on the underside of his neck rather than the top - but that could be just the way he's standing as he's looking very interested in something out of shot lol! Nothing major though and if his neck really is like that it's easily remedied with correct schooling :)

Thank you for all the comments :) I appreciate it's not a great picture as he is up to his fetlocks in mud, so most likely not standing "true". I will try and get a better one but again thank you for trying :)

Ps. He is looking at someone fiddling with the fencing in the top field, which is making his neck look like there is muscle build up underneath which in reality isn't their. Must be the light or angle :)

Cutie pie!! Conformation looks good! His neck is a little ewed, but that may look worse because he's looking at something in the distance. I imagine if he does plenty of long and low work, you won't see that at all. Overall, lovely lad!

I had an Earl of Castlefrench horse. He did not have perfect conformation, his upright shoulder (a trait also apparent on yours) meant he struggled to get to medium dressage & also made him jar up when eventing. Nonetheless he was the best horse I ever had, I really wish I could have another just like him! Really hope you get as much pleasure out of him as I did out of mine!
