would be brill!

I bought some Heineger Progress clippers a couple of months ago. I was a first timer clipper so did a bit of research and with a budget in mind I settled for the Progress.

They have easily managed a couple of full clips on a WB with no problems. Also, as a favour for a favour, did a full clip on a very hairy one with ease.

They are light to handle, not noisy (as far as clippers go) and came with an extra set of blades (fine), which were perfect for my mare.

Very, very pleased with them and would recommend.

Depends if you've got electricity or not.

I don't so I've got Liveryman Whisper. Battery attaches to the the end (no belt battery). Stays charged for nearly an hour of clipping. Very quiet and not particularly heavy either - they're well balanced. They easily do a full horse clip in one go before the battery runs out. Cuts through even the thickest of clydesdale feathers too!

Another vote for Heineger Progress. My friend has a set and I regularly steal them to do my girl, and a couple other horses on the yard and they're brilliant, really light and easy to handle. I did 3 horses in 1 morning with them with no problems

Lister liberty!

They're fab, battery clips on belt or i prefer it in my pocket, lasts up to 3 hours.
Or you can get the leads so it works off a battery (car) or the mains leads.

Only cost me £310 inc 2 sets of blades and 2 bottles oil

try this site www.farmcareuk.com they have a realy good offer on at moment Lister liberty clippers and lister lebretta trimmers £298 I got mine last week they are great and because they are on offer saved at least £100 the chap was realy good when I rang them and chatted about all he clippers my mind was spinning with whitch one's to get as they are expensive and i didn't want to make a mistake losing good money on rubbish.

Another vote for lister liberty! I've got electricity at the yard so could have bought corded ones, but what I love about these is that they are so easy to hold, the grip is very narrow due to the battery being a seperate pack (I just put it in my pocket). My sister has the heiniger cordless ones which are nice but bulky to hold due to the battery being all in with the clipper itself and they only run for an hour.

Obviously I'm biased but I really liked my liveryman appollo's - I'd never clipped before and found these really easy to use, everyone thought I was a pro clipper so they must be good! Oh and I'm selling them as no longer have electric....
