Question is as title really. I can only hose twice a day as am at work but could probably persuade someone to put cold boots on in the middle of the day for half an hour.

Does anyone have any particular recommendations? I have boots for making bits hot but none for making bits cold. There is always something with blooming horses!

If he's good with his feet being picked up, you could do what we do with Reg post XC. We have 4 icepacks (the freezer bag ones, not the solid plastic ones!) which we slot into tubigrips that are folded in half over each leg. It takes 5 mins to do, but the cold lasts forever and is stupendously cheap...

Rather shamefully he isn't particularly helpful about having his feet picked up :o

He's not a nice horse really. The vets are going to have lots of fun trying to work out what is making him lame. Hopefully I'll be allowed to drop him off and leave him so I don't have to witness him flinging people about and kicking them whilst they try and block his foot!
