Your riding faults - own up :-)

I have penguin feet syndrome >:(
I talk to her too much
I look through her ears and not up and ahead haha
I sometimes forget to breathe and go all tense (So much so the saddler who was checking the saddle fitted made me sing a song while riding to get me to breathe properly haha)

Argh I feel rubbish now haha

Looking down....i teach and i am forever telling people to look up, but i do the same. But her head is just sooooo lovely to look at. :D
Got a stromg left hand but this is getting better by the day.

I collapse in canter transitions.
I twist my upper body very slightly to the right which makes my mare slightly crooked in turn.
I forget to ride into jumps, although getting better.
I ride with my reins too long and the right very slightly longer than the left.
I am very stiff through my lower back due to an old injury.
Due to lower back stiffness I stand instead of folding over jumps!

I am perfect in every way :D ha ha!!

I fold waaaay too much over a fence because of my shockingly terrible core stability and on the flat, I let my lower leg slip forward mainly due to crap balance and tendency to bobble around like an idiot.. as I said - perfect in everyway :D
Oh and I cannot for the life of me do sitting trot without looking like I have sat on the spikey end of a pineapple!!

Jumping - bracing my lower leg and flappy elbows... the flappy elbows are connected with tense shoulders.

Flat - not turning through my body, not opening my shoulders (another with big boobs), lifting my heel, tipping forward in the canter transition, and clicking.......

Penguin toes here too!
Reins too short/long at times
I don't always sit deep in my seat all the time (I do when I concentrate)

I give the rein away in a trot to canter transition then wonder why my horse runs instead of canters.
My left hand has a complete mind of its own, its like its possessed.. It is however much better now, it just has the odd moment every so often when I'm not concentrating.
I gawp at the floor, ENDLESSLY. Looking for any coppers is what I tell my instructor LOL!
My left toe sticks out. I therefore seem to be inable to control the left side of my body.
:D

I have tons but I think these are the main ones:

I tip forwards in canter and my heels come up when I have to use a lot of leg.

My shoulders don't like staying back and down - am always getting told to open them up more.

I'm too 'loose' with my contact, although tbh this is mainly because I like my own horses to be very light in the hand.

I ride defensively into jumps so don't fold as much as I should, although I am improving a little, I think! :)

I look down,
tense my shoulders so need to shake them out every now and again
lean forward, though only seems to be on certain horses for some reason
my hands move about too much sometimes.

round corners i lean in too much.

with jumping, its not so much a fault rather than cos i have had such bad experiences, i ride really defensively and sometimes dont push the horse into the fense and back off it a bit.

I tip forward - particularly when approaching jumps. A bad move when I have a pony who likes to put in dirty stops - cue me going straight over his head! (I think he finds it a bit of a fun game!)

I also have a habit of letting my shoulders drop forward and riding with my right arm almost straight! (No idea why)

Almost all of the above! :D

The main thing is my leg position (at least that's what instructor goes on about the most! lol!) I just bring them up and back, especially when asking for canter. I had got better, but then after the fall and new horse, I guess I just get tense now and so it happens (then, of course, I loose my stirrups, which are probably a bit long)

Also, I can't seem to think about more than one thing at a time - eg keeping in the shape I want plus where my legs are!

Just rubbish all round, I suppose! :D

i look at the floor espec when doing trotting poles! (it is v pretty)
i constantly look to check my trotting diagnol (years of hacking has made me forget the feel!)
i turn my toes outwards (as a result of my old horse being a loony tune...that was how i adapted my position to stay on while on the roads)
i also have reins that are like washing lines...

i am having lessons to try and improve but it is many years of bad habits so could be a while haha

My biggest fault? Not riding enough! There are always a million and one other jobs to do first :(

Apart from that, i am rather top heavy and tend to drop my inside shoulder, and have to work very hard on keeping my contact even.
